*
Yup yup =)
Been busy as usual wink.gif

Well, a dead thread is no good, I wonder if MSI-MY has any updates =/

I hope it's the GTX560m, I'm waiting for reviews that GPU, praying that it's better than ATI5870m XD

from what i heard..if compare raw performance, i think the 5870 is better than gtx560..so it depends tongue.gif

nah, i get my games from local shop..i will only buy the games i love just to collect them..i buy them physically for the purpose of collecting only tongue.gif..dam in love with crysis, call of duty and command and conquer..and a few of ups n downs games tongue.gif

i tot portal 2 got multiplayer feature where u have to work with another person to pass through a lvl? hmm.gif i saw it from a poster..din reli bother watching the video tongue.gif

and woot! cant bliv the 5870 are capable of playing crysis2 at maximum setting @ 1920x1080..but without the v-sync off it will be slightly laggy
glad to hear that tongue.gif..u will find the latest driver a lot better than the stock driver wink.gif

ooo..how much u buy urs for? biggrin.gif
*
Well, imagine the improvements of the GTX560m compared to the GTX460m if it still could not be better than the ATI5870 even in terms of raw performance, GTX560m is newer by 1 generation, dat's dissapointing to know.

Because of this, I may be leaning towards ATI now, love the ATI6970 XD

Well, how much do you usually buy a game that you collect? RM150?

Please recommend me a site that you usually buy from, hopefully they are not too costly =x

I heard Modern Warfare 3 is coming out by end of this year, somewhere in November, better cross your fingers man wink.gif

Wait wait, u sure ATI5870 at maximum setting especially at FHD!?

Wow, amazing.. Smooth all the way with v-sync off?

well..the gtx560 has its good side as well..with better dx11, it can run most dx11 games smoothly..then again, it all depends on the games u play =3

ooo..ur using 6970 in ur pc? wow..over power tongue.gif

i normally buy games at outside shop if im desperate..they usually cost the same or additional RM10~30. if not, search for pbbseller here..his stuff is quite cheap wink.gif..but if u wanna earn points to redeem stuff..get from the software boutique..or www.tsb.com.my or something like that..u can buy from them then earn points and redeem something smile.gif

MW3! im dead in love with MW..i love infinity ward more than treyarch sad.gif..been dying to wait for this game to come out T_T

Yeap..maximum settings @ FHD + v-sync off..but it's not DAM smooth..when u play the game..*if u noe watz motion blur then good tongue.gif* it's like the motion blur being set to the highest..still playable if u ask me..but i just set it to high..dowan to put pressure on my baby tongue.gif

Dear virus, I wish I could afford the ATI6970, I'm already having a hard time to save $ to buy myself a laptop.. I'm buying one by July or August, therefore I'll only upgrade my desktop next year =/

I forgot to mention the 'm' for the 6970, I meant the 6970m was a amazing for a laptop GPU, it isn't as costly as the GTX485 and it's performance is awesome for the price tag.

Dude, go for an upgrade XD

Then again, I always hear that ATI always have driver problems that can cause BSOD etc, so I guess I'm sticking back to Nvidia wink.gif

Thx viruz, I'll browse the sites u recommended me =)

Haha, patience, a good game is worth the wait.. At the meantime, go get urself a GT780 XD

I like both actually,

i LOVE ati because - CHEAP! + stronk! dam worth it compare to nvidia

i LOVE Nvdia because - VERY user friendly tongue.gif..that's about it i guess
hahaha..no worries man..6970 will drop price sooner or later..take back the laptop u give ur bro n sell it off hahaha tongue.gif..ooo..july or august..i'll be back by then..planning to host an event for MSI user or probably gaming notebook users in LYN to gather around. It's nice to let them try out the power of MSI and vice versa

nah, that aint true..i use ATI for 2 year and no problem at all..always progress smoothly..well, as an IT lover, i dn reli care if it gives me blue screen or lags..i will just reformat my pc/laptop whenever it gives me problem haha

right now i AM planning to get the gt780 but on the same time dn feel like it..i dn plan to build my desktop now, not very interested in pc for now..+ the gt780 is too big for me..quite inconvenient so i'll just skip it for now
i compare our MSI to Dell XPS 15..in terms of bass..i wud say ours is far superior..sound quality wise both have their goods n down..for the dell..they have to use an application to make the speaker sound good..witout that..i find it just alright..loudness..well i wud say msi is SLIGHTLY louder a bit tongue.gif
Why is every1 playing witcher 2! issit really that good? hmm.gif
AHHH! MSI-MY too much poison! the gt780 reli making me poisoned hahaha
O.O..GTX560 is that good? i tot they say raw power lose to 5870? hmm.gif

i wonder what will MSI surprise us with next? first dynaudio..then steelseries..what's next? sony bravia screen? tongue.gif
*
In terms of weight however, how much difference is the GT780R as compared to GT680R?

I'm seriously deciding to take a 17inch n ignore wad I hav said in the past about only deciding on a 15 inch XD

But a MSI GT780R with 2720QM is around 2k USD Y_Y

But is it durable and problem free? I meant the Bigfoot Wi-fi modem..

The problem is, there is no sign of the Bigfoot 1103 until now..

I've been seeing the status 'coming soon' from last year until now =_="

If u wan a tablet,I suggest u get the Transformer from ASUS, it's a tablet cum laptop, best of both worlds!

Not only that, the battery life is just superb,I'd recommend u wif dat 1.. It uses Honeycomb, Android <3

Seriously, I wudnt expect u'd play Maple, I remember I quited MapleSEA after playing till lvl69 and it took ages for me to level to 70 that I decided to quit =/

I migrated over to Dragonica XD

Just splashed on the new GT683 then being stupid and ignorant, i decided to check what other Laptops carried the same specs and

Toshiba Qosmio X770-107 - same spec in terms of processor and graphic card ( Might even be much cheaper then MSI )

and also i heard ASUS came out with a new version as well with the same specs. I'm thinking I should've waited. Should I have waited? Anyway, I don't think i'll be sleeping for a week. Too excited...
*
QUOTE(viruz019 @ Jun 22 2011, 01:01 PM)
Meaning u have ordered your GT683?

Somehow, i cant tell if you're trying to spoil our thread or you're excited you bought your new laptop. Since you only join last night, im nt gnna critic anything. But if you're like one of those fan-boys haters last time who come in and says that MSI Laptop sucks, i wont hesistate to press tat report button.

If you want to compare to the Asus, from what ken from gentech told me, "2GB version is 128Bit and 1.5BG version is 192 bit" Thus, 1.5GB Version has the advantage here.

IF you really bought it, then i can guarantee you, you will not have any regret spending that money on the laptop.
*
Agreed.. If you think that MSI is not good, then just hog to another brand.. I've been researching for almost 2 years now and I've decided on a GT780R with no regrets despite being a 17 incher.
MSI is reliable and a bang for buck, I got a GT680R for my little brother and he never had problems so far..

Viruz, I'm here to clarify that what you said is true, the 1.5GB n 3GB is 192 bit while the 2GB is 128 bit.

The G53SX using a 128 bit GPU was the main reason I had to switch over to the MSI's 17 incher since my brother owned the 15 incher version of MSI.

When I get it at my doorstep, Imma do a review by the weekend =)

Also guys, I read a lot about Sager and how flexible it is in terms of changing GPU, SLI, Graphic cards and such but why are people still reluctant in buying a Sager lappy? Though i noticed that the warranty is not a Sager warranty but other then that, it seems to offer a lot. Is there a secret we normal ppl don't know?

Added on June 23, 2011, 6:30 pm
when i went to low yat to enquire, they were quoting me that price eh... how la? RM7500 or less. I got mine for about RM6000.. definitely not 5k.. i know it says online USD1499 but conversion plus shipment is def more then that.

SAME HERE! i thought it was european handphone company like errr.. SAGEM or something

Sager laptops come from Clevo, a company that provides barebone laptops which are easily upgradeable. Other brands that use Clevo laptops are Malibal, Eurocom, Maingear and Origin =)

And with a barebone laptop, it is definitely affordable to upgrade it,

Take for example, the latest Sager 8150-S1 with a GTX485m(what happened to ATI 6970m!?), it cost close to RM6k, compared to the MSI GT780R, it's definitely worth it!!

Even the upgrade from the Intel 2630QM to the 2720QM only costs averagely USD160 as compared to ASUS & MSI that offered close to USD400 for the upgrade.

However, most of us are afraid of it's warranty since it doesn't have global warranty unlike MSI & ASUS which offered global warranty for 1 or 2 years.

Buying Sager brings a risk only in terms of warranty, but it's sure the best bang for buck, no doubts wink.gif

You make your choice. Sometimes u just gotta risk it to get the biscuit, haha.. XD

If you're looking for a plain exterior but a beastly interior, Sager is your best choice.

Still, MSI wins with their great sound quality from Dynaudio =)

The MSI GT780R has a steelseries gaming keyboard embedded and a matte display(it's rare nowadays!) in stock and the colourful software customized backlit keyboard, it's so darn attractive!

However, speculations I heard mentioned that the price tag will be more expensive.. You get what you paid for =)
