Keyboard silicon with shape? Don't really get, maybe try searching in Low Yat?

U said u can't sign in, sign in to what? User account?

Recovery tool? I thought it's built-in? F3 or F2 to use the recovery tool via BIOS isn't it?

er.. i dont really know how to explain it.. like those silicone keyboard got 2 type.. one is flat.. another one is with keyboard key shape..

If i want to create a recovery, create through there(BIOS)? But its ok, you can ignore this question.. i found other way  biggrin.gif

I thought most silicon keyboards are the same?

Flat and keyboard key shape, aren't they the same? XD

Sorry, can you show me picture?

To create recovery, you can actually use Windows Backup and Restore, that should suffice. =)

QUOTE(Genesiscrew @ Oct 20 2012, 08:06 PM)
The GPU is awesome, and since it's a APU, this laptop is definitely a high end budget gaming laptop. But don't expect the processor to be as powerful as an i7 3610QM as this is only on par with i5 or the higher end i3 models.

Still, it's great for our wallets if we only need gaming, processing power is not that important unless a lot of emulating is required such as PCSX2.

Btw, anyone knows where I can buy a HDD bracket for the GT60/GT70/GT780? I'm desperately in need of a HDD bracket for my secondary drive. Please help =/

yes. remove the back cover and remove the fan. gaming laptops are easy to disassemble compared to those normal usage 1.
*
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't removing the fan void the warranty?

Not only that, when the fan is removed, thermal paste needs to be applied again isn't it?

I'm not sure, so pls explain to me, haha =)

1. you can remove the fan, but avoid damaging the stickers. once damaged, considered void.
2. i couldnt answer this but you could get a can of compressed air from your nearest computer store to blow dust away.

hope i helped.
*
1. Ya, but I thought removing the fan would require repasting the thermal paste, that's what the e-maintenance guy told me in the past.

2. Exactly, that's what I did, easy and time-saving XD

Anyone bought the GT70 with GTX680m or GTX675mx?

anyone have exp switching to SSD? what is the process..
*
I'm currently using a SSD on my rig.

Just replace the primary HDD which is the OS drive with the SSD, if the secondary HDD slot is empty, you can use your primary HDD as a secondary HDD to store files and other less important programs.

Just open up the back cover and remove a few screws to replace, it's easy =)

Does changing the hard drive void the warranties on your MSI's?
*
No it doesn't void warranty.

Just makesure not to damage anything in the process.

i planing to buy msi ge70k.
anyone can give me some comment on this laptop?
*
GE70K uses the latest entry level i7 CPU and a GTX660m, it's not bad.

But for that price, don't you think you could afford a GX60 or GX70 which is a higher end model that performs much better in gaming?

Despite the weaker CPU, the GPU is 1 of the best so far next to the GTX680m.

You only had to dish out a little more I guess. Ur main aim is for a laptop that can support high graphical details in latest games right? GX60/70 would be a better choice.

ya. thanks for reply. how much the cost of gx60?
*
I last saw it being quoted at a price of RM4299 =)

I believe it is very affordable for a high end gaming laptop, really.

U only sacrifice by having a weaker CPU but the GPU is really great, almost as powerful as the GTX680m.

Really a bang for buck dude thumbup.gif

QUOTE(medwolf @ Dec 21 2012, 12:45 PM)
hi everyone, which model of msi laptops is comparable in terms of price and spec with lenovo ideapad y400?
im looking for under 3k, cheaper is better.
*
GE60 and GE70.

GT60 and GT70 are the high end models.

Still, I'm guessing the GE60 and GE70 are above RM3k.

QUOTE(venuxkai @ Dec 21 2012, 07:23 PM)
the price for gx60 is rm4799.
how about gx70? what the different between this 2?
*
The difference is the size and weight.

GX70 is 17 inch and has a bigger chassis than the GX60.

GX70 should also have better ventilation than the GX60 since it has more space inside for air circulation.

Besides that, both the GX60 and GX70 should be the same.

QUOTE(milky @ Dec 26 2012, 01:59 PM)
can anyone tell me what does

0NE
0ND
0NC stands for?

on every GE GT GX model?
*
0NE, 0ND and 0NC are SKU code used to label the models of the laptops.

Each character in the SKU should represent something such as batch number etc..

As far as I know, the GT60 and GT70 use 0NE for GTX680M and the 0ND for GTX675M or GTX675MX and 0NC for GTX670m respectively.

GE60/GE70 use 0ND for GTX660m and 0NC for GTX650m.

I hope I helped in clarifying these, haha. They were based on my small analysis, correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I'm sorry for the late replies, been very busy lately.

I also heard that there will be a 14 inch variant gaming rig coming up.

I wonder if the GX60 will be refreshed with the 8970QM and Richland APU.

There are still many out there who don't fancy a 17 inch model due to size, weight and bulkiness, lol.
