UA40D5000 owner reporting in.

Btw, is there any equalizer that I can access too?
Some movies, i can hardly listen to the conversation (too soft).

Tried all sorts of modes: Standard, movie & etc.

Appreciate it smile.gif

Your model dun have amplify mode?
If dun have, dun get any equalizer, just get a budget home theater AVR + speakers set for RM1200.

How does the Samsung 40D5000PR compare with Philips 42PFL7406 & Philips 46PFL6605:

http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/televis...b=specification

http://www.philips.com.my/c/televisions/70...fl7406h_12/prd/

http://www.philips.com.my/c/televisions/60...pfl6605_98/prd/
The most expensive of the lot is the PFL6605 while the Samsung is the cheapest (RM2,000). The Philips 7406 costs RM 2,850. Can someone tell me which is the best of the lot and why? Both the Philips models have contrast ratios of only 500,000:1 but the PFL7406 has a 400Hz Clear Motion Rate.

Very confused!
Any input?

You need to be specific when you say , mid-end or high-end. What technology that you want your set to have say for example.. local dimming LED.

For example only Series 7 (D7000) and Series 8 (D8000) sets that can really compete with plasma performance in picture quality especially with contrast and black level, thanks to LED LOCAL DIMMING technology. Series 6 (6600) and series 5 and below DO NOT have local dimming technology.

Locally dimmed LED produce picture that has very little wash-out color, they appear deeper with greater contrast.

Are you saying the black tint of plasma still much better than a decent LED on current market?

Hi guys,

I have just purchased a Samsung UA46D6000. I plugged in my PS3 console using an HDMI cable. I'm having problems with games that have high speed picture motion. The picture becomes very blurry even when the 3D mode is off.
Any advice?

Thanks,
M
