LOL I plugged out my ARC HDMI anyways cause it keep destroying the HDMI-CEC and just use Optical cable connection now haha. (I already perma removed the old HyypTV box in my setup, it was the root cause of killing HDMI-CEC, but recently my old aging 5 year old Samsung BD-HT system is giving the exact same problem with the darn HyypTV box LOL)

My OLD Samsung PLASMA 43" more heavier with current LED TV. No problem to mount the bracket at the back and hang at the wall.

I believe all TV LED have this 400mmX400mm holes distance. Try measure the holes distance at the back of your TV...

Might be wrong FW for KS7000. Refer edited post above. Samsung screwed up.

Samsung just fixed the link. It is pointing to the right Firmware file now haha.

I usually update firmware direct from the tv system uodate but until today there is no new firmware update, mine ks7500 n i believe its the same firmware as ks7000

OTA Update is not up yet (usually it take forever to appear in OTA). The same link I posted for KS7000 works for KS7500

I don't have Airplay LOL. So can't test.

But well on my side everything works normally. PS4, all HDMI inputs.

Netflix, Youtube.

Even my NAS videos are all working through the TV. My S7 Edge also still can cast mirror screen via Samsung Connect.

Opened a few HDR sample video on Youtube, looks kinda same from previous LOL.

Still no banner output to inform HDR video is playing (damn)

Star Trek Discovery on Netflix HDR looks more impressive (or maybe it's just placebo effect)

Long story short, nothing broken yet.

In short, nothing improved either, lol. I just downloaded. I see the txt info notes shows the fw was prepared 30/8/17. Took them 2mths + to release it, lol.

Give us 1206 or 1207 fw already !!!

btw, I don't think you will be seeing the HDR logo ever again from the TV FW side. Samsung probably have left it to the Game Developers/Sony and content providers to show the HDR on their end. (Let them take the blame if not up to quality, lol)

For example, if you are subscribing to Amazon Prime, when you play a HDR video you will get this message before the video begins "An HDR Video is playing" or something like that , I can't exactly remember.

All I can say is on my end whatever HDR contents I have seen from Amazon Prime is washed out and lifeless colours. Instead of being impressed I feel depressed, lol. I prefer SDR videos from Amazon, more sharper and vibrant colours compared to HDR.

Only Youtube HDR Demo videos so far look really nice.

I'm using Netflix and so far all the HDR video I watch from there is really impressive.

Hye, i want to ask regarding audio setting of ks7000. Im using soundbar hwk550 with wireless rear speaker. In sound setting, there is option for hdmi audio format such as pcm and bitstream. N audio output option such as pcm, dts neo and dolby digital. How should i set those option for my soundbar to have the best sound quality/output. Im using Hdmi ARC btw. And i also have 5.1 dolby movie to play.

Set as Dolby Digital or DTS (or higher) whenever such options exist. These are the best. Followed by DTS Neo and just slightly lower, PCM. DTS Neo should not be mistake as the core DTS in DTS HD-MA. Those are properly encoded formats for surround sound. DTS Neo:6 to sum up is basically, the system takes stereo sound and tries to simulate surround sound by analyzing the audio and then distributing between the 6 channels setup as best as it could.. Simulation not the real thing. Some times, the system does good other times, just switch back to PCM for more direct to face sounds from the 3 front speakers.

an update for my 55MU6100 backlight bleeding.

1. samsung tech guy came and change the panel. backlight bleed more worst then the original one. request new set from samsung.

2. wait for one week for samsung to replace new set of tv. TV replace and backlight bleed is also worst on this new set. samsung tech try to calibrate the TV and he also admin this model has design flaw. He ask to request for refund.

3. wait another one week, and samsung contact me last friday 10.11.2017 to collect the TV and refund me.

4. saturday 11.11.2017 saw on sen heng website, sony x7000e got promotion RM2799. straight away buy the tv and i was happy with the picture quality and no more light bleed is the most important.

Compare sony and samsung tv.

- Sony tv not really can see the juddering when fast object movement. but on samsung juddering very bad.
- Sony color produce more realistic then samsung which a bit fake color.
- HDMI ARC working smooth like butter on sony tv. I can now cabut the optical cable.

How about between pcm and bitstream, which one to choose? Tq for ur feedback.

How is the HDR quality between the Sony and Samsung?

If want to use sound bar 5.1 sound , just set TV to bitstream.
