Finally i buy 55mu6100, PQ is great after some calibration done. Only now frustrated on HDMI ARC. I get no sound from home theater. No problem on HDMI ARC when using sony tv previously. Did anyone manage to solved this. If no solution have to buy optical cable.

QUOTE(voncrane @ Oct 17 2017, 07:22 PM) Is the Hypptv STB connected and on (green leds)? Unhook it or put it on standby, cold boot both TV and HT.. try again.. should work. Make sure both settings are turned on in the devices. Hi, hypptv was disconnected, some update, yesterday i call samsung support, almost 40min on the phone. Lastly he remotely reset the tv. After reset done ARC are working fine. But........ after close tv, go out, came back, on the tv. Suprisingly ARC not working again. Dem i dont want to reset again and do the calibration again. Hmm looks like going to buy optical. |

QUOTE(Haruji Sora @ Oct 19 2017, 10:56 AM) Samsung LED TV series are all Edge Back Light so white like leakage is quite normal when playing movies. I Will go to store i buy the TV and compare their display TV with my TV. If their display TV same like mine then i have to live with it.On total black screen then you see "some" light pollution creeping from the edge is also quite normal I guess. Unless it is a severe like pollution, like half an inch of constant light bleed then probably your back panel is loose and light is entering or the panel is getting defective. Black color not uniform is also a LCD inherent problem. If you lucky you get lesser, if you unlucky you get more. You can always snap a real life picture of your screen and post it here and Samsung support and see if they willing to do anything about it. Usually unless it is on the extreme side, you have to live with it. |

ok guys, quick update, just came back from seng heng ss2 which is the store i bought the TV. Test the display tv 55MU6100. Notice that the display tv has no flash light effect. Black is pure black. Also i try my own movie with letterbox. the picture is perfect. No light on the edge of the TV. Seng Heng guys already arrange for Samsung technician to come and check the TV. Will update the result.

Guys, an update
Today Samsung tech guy come and check the TV. Confirm TV suffer from backlight bleeding. So he change to new panel. After change done. Replacement panel backlight bleeding more worst than the original panel. Dem... So he suggest me either get a full money refund or get new set of TV which I have to wait another 7 working days. I ask for new set of TV. If new set of TV still problem then I will request full refund. Dem I should get Sony x700e instead. |

Hi guys,
an update for my 55MU6100 backlight bleeding. 1. samsung tech guy came and change the panel. backlight bleed more worst then the original one. request new set from samsung. 2. wait for one week for samsung to replace new set of tv. TV replace and backlight bleed is also worst on this new set. samsung tech try to calibrate the TV and he also admin this model has design flaw. He ask to request for refund. 3. wait another one week, and samsung contact me last friday 10.11.2017 to collect the TV and refund me. 4. saturday 11.11.2017 saw on sen heng website, sony x7000e got promotion RM2799. straight away buy the tv and i was happy with the picture quality and no more light bleed is the most important. Compare sony and samsung tv. - Sony tv not really can see the juddering when fast object movement. but on samsung juddering very bad. - Sony color produce more realistic then samsung which a bit fake color. - HDMI ARC working smooth like butter on sony tv. I can now cabut the optical cable. **sorry for my bad english Thank you. This post has been edited by jai2power: Nov 13 2017, 09:02 AM |

QUOTE(hitamlegam @ Nov 13 2017, 09:20 AM) For HDR content i try on netflix and guardian of the galaxy 2 i downloaded which has 4k HDR resolution. On samsung MU6100 the default HDR setting, color i have to re-calibrate because the color produce not very accurate and oh boy the juddering very bad on MU6100. Also I cannot find how to turn off auto dimming on samsung. All eco setting already turn off. On sony the other hand, It has 2 option for HDR. when I choose HDR vivid, wow the color, picture motion (very little and almost not noticeable juddering) and clearness of the picture are very good. I have no complain. I have not calibrate the HDR setting and leave at default. Of course this is very subjective issue. Maybe you guys got good MU6100 with no backlight problem. And I have to give credit to samsung support/customer service and also sen heng SS2 staff for assist me with no anger. My advice is, when buy new TV, please check the TV at store first before bring back home. Make sure u bring ur own movie and test until u satisfied with the TV. This sony TV i tested in store and directly pickup from store instead have them deliver to my house. This post has been edited by jai2power: Nov 13 2017, 11:34 AM |

QUOTE(Haruji Sora @ Nov 13 2017, 11:49 AM) LOL you can download HDR rips nowadays? I thought the metadata can't be ripped XD Haha.. I also not sure..but when play the video it switch automatically to HDR mode.Auto Dimming is basically the edge lightning is it? You probably have the wrong Dynamic Contrast setup prior. And isnt HDR Vivid = HDR+ in Samsung set? http://rarbg.to/torrent/4fwxajr (source i download the video) As for auto dimming issue, I only use standard mode and cinema mode. but it still dim the picture. Yeah HDR+ in samsung HDR vivid in sony. |
