Yes.. every baby is different. Mine hits some milestones a bit earlier.. but some a bit later.

Its normal. If u r concern about certain issues, consult ur pediatrician during vaccination visits.

my baby was quite slow in holding his head, say about 4months plus.. a relative commented that i should hv taken calcium supplements to boost my baby's bones structure... i just gave it a WTF in my head and ignored it.. my baby's other milestones are fine... dont compare lor

my younger girl learn to speak much faster than my elder girl.

If mummy was having sick something like coughing or fever.....still can giving breastfeeding or not? how is ur experience?

Of coz can...it's best to breastfeed even when sick..coz..even before you got sick..or getting sick..your baby is already exposed to the virus..thus..breastfeeding (feeding with breast milk) provides further immunity to your baby from the virus (she may catch the virus but will recover faster).

In terms of medication, always tell your doctor that you are bf..so that the doc can prescribe a milder dosage. What i usually practice (if i take meds) is bf before taking the meds. And I would wait about 3 hrs or so before the next feed. alternatively, you can pump and dump in order to maintain your supply (if you have enough ebm). Please be forwarned that some medication may make your milk lesser; thus you may have to work harder to push your supply up again.

During the first 2 months plus...i tried not to get sick as I didn't want to take any meds (as during this time I was feeding on demand and trying to keep some supply before i start work). If i do get flu...I'll take vitamin c (Redoxon). Drink lots of water etc.

my trip back home made me feel that i did the rite thing to have kept bf they kept aww n ohh... i feel so proud of my son's especially his kfc thigh a few of my cousins n cousin's wife couldn't pass the first mth... i'm so happy n proud that i think it'll keep lingering in my mind for a while i'm truly proud n satisfied... thanks for all the support n encouragement... without u guys i wouldn't have bf till today

E.g during bowling or in klcc park? (personal experience... )

syd, once i forgot my shawl... i had to use SSC as cover... there was hole here n there so it's half half nurse in open at nite in the car counts?

sunflower808...if you are living with baby when sick..whether bf or not..sure will pass the virus to baby. Just that bf babies..gets sick lesser and they tend to recover faster too.

My colleauge who bf exclusively for 6 months said that her son always get the virus last..but will recover less than a week.

My son also the same..he would recover fast.

is there any bf frenly confinement food? as far as i remember, it's all abt ginger n wine...

my mom didn't use wine. just used ginger...but had to lessen it due to jaundice.

How about pepper?? coz the malays use pepper for their confinement (if i'm not mistaken)

phythia, cook into pig stomach's soup? ewww... i mean for chinese la...

dunno lar....during my confinement..was mostly ginger..soup with ginger..fried rice with ginger..chicken with ginger...

i once saw a lady bf her 3yr(my guess) old daughter while crossing the road at singapore orchard road!!!

orchard road in singapore is like bintang walk in KL....

I can multitask..but definitely not while crossing the road.
