Hi guys. My baby is one month old and she is taking about 70% BM and the rest are fm.

Was wondering whether taking cold or icy drinks would result in baby getting stomach upset and gassy? CL said it would and ask me to stop my ice and cold drinks intake.

FYI, I am latching her in nice a day and the rest are ebm/fm in a bottle. Could it be her bottle?

My baby is 6 weeks old. For me, the most I get is 150ml during morning pump. During day time, it would drop to about 90-100ml every 3hours. During 8pm,11pm and 3am pump would be more.

For my case, I think taking milkmaid tea helps a lot in increasing supply. But lazy to take cuz dont really enjoy it. Haven't try fenugreek seeds as I still cannot find from organic shop or jusco. Green papaya soup, barley, etc all not working for me.

Tried looking at junco and cold storage and all supermarkets already.justlife organic shop told me there are shortage in supply.

Yea cuz when I asked about fenugreek seeds, her eyes went to my boobs. Rotflol.

I have a very rocky BF journey and thank god things are getting sooooooo much better now.

I heard from baby shop that u can try drinking 3 times a day for first 3 days then once a day for maintenance.

Kit, I felt so sad reading your story. Have been following this thread from day one actually. Hmm. All I can say is u need to add oil... Be strong and just tell yourself that BM is the best gift u can give to your baby. If u are unhappy, it will affect your supply. So the best solution is u should rant here. We would all listen and support u!!

I think it has gone bad la. Soupy smell still ok but if it taste sour, better dont take the risk.

About the so called 'heaty-ness'. I think only the chinese believe it. My CL believes it but my doctors said there is no such thing.

For me, I dont believe in such thing. CL said that consuming ice cold stuff will cause wind in baby cuz she caught me adding ice into my red dates water. So I lie to her and told her I did not take ice anymore but in fact I did. So after baby recover from the wind problem she said "see I told u not to take ice. Luckily u stop!" LOL.

But how do u explain that excessive consumption of mandarin oranges will give u a sore throat and dry cough? Hehe....

Yea ok liao. We use oil and give baby tummy massage few times a day then went to clinic and see doctor for wind medication. One day feed 3 times 2ml each. After 3 days ok d. Now also we would do the tummy rub each time we change her diapers. Then she will pass gas few times.

Trying very very hard to increase my supply la. Sigh. Forced myself to eat and eat and eat.

Why ur mil wanna bother about yr nipple ar? Lol. She wont be the one sucking it what....
I have bad eating habits. I would only take full meal for dinner. For breakfast and lunch, it's just snacking all day long. No balanced meal. So nowadays I got to force myself to drive out to buy lunch and finish it.

Nothing to worry about since your baby cough it out and I believe he is back to his usual self rite?

I put 2 bags of ebm into the freezer during midnight. In the morning, one pack was frozen like rock while the other bag not frozen. Have anyone encountered this? Any explanation?

no i can be very sure that no one took it out and place it back cuz only me and hubby around and hubby swear he din touch it.

i put it at the back of the freezer.. 2 bags placed flat side by side. both with 240ml of ebm in it.

Dunno what happened la but I took it down and feed my baby anyway. Tasted it and it's still alright.

Hmm.. I think I am the only one enjoying my cup size now. Hubby can see cannot touch. Lol.

I realize I have the green veins even before i gave birth. My CL ask me to 'push' the green veins towards the nipple to stimulate more milk production who....

Erm... I tried but dunno whether frequent pumping helps or not....

Kit, may I know how often ur baby pass motion? My baby poo once every 5-7days. I am really worried la as hubby said wanna bring her see pediatric surgeon.

Hmm... I have never brought my baby to the paed. She got her annual weight check and jab from my BIl, who is a GP. My BIl is concern and ask her to go see the pediatric surgeon. I don't like the idea as I am afraid they may run all sort of test on her.

She is on fm 2 times a day and the rest are ebm.

Yes her poo are seedy and paste like. Once she poo every 5-7 days, it will big really 'big'!!

Yes 2 1/2 months. We give her a lot of water throughout the day. She is still behaving normal and do not have any discomfort. She also let out a lot of gas.

So I did an experiment to see how will she poop if she is on formula. Tis is her milk schedule.
7am: ebm
10am: ebm
1pm: fm
4pm: fm
7pm: ebm
9pm: fm
3am fm

She is taking 4oz each feed except the 9pm one cuz I feed her earlier so that she can sleep.

The good news is,she poo alternate day after following this schedule.
The bad news? Hubby ask me to keep to this schedule and store my ebm.

Plz advise.

Sigh... It's not me who want to bring her to see the pediatric surgeon. It's my hubby cuz he listens to his sis and BiL(which are GPs) which says babies should poop everyday.

The 2 doctors are afraid that her intestines are block or something. I refuse to bring her to the pediatric surgeon cuz I don't want them to run all sorts of test on my baby thats why i give her more formula to make her poop.

We have 6 newborns this year in the family and only my baby is on BM. They said BM is "water". I even get comments that my baby is not having enough despite putting on weight every month.

How la......???

Today I put baby on ebm again and stop formula. Hope she will be good and poo more often.

How often ur baby poop?

Hubby is on BM till he is 3 years old and he is super huge. He is very supportive in breastfeeding but on another hand also worried about the baby's poop problem. Funny thing is the GPs told me that Nowadays FM is comparable with BM. I told her FM is chemical and she said her 3 kids grow up with FM and have no problem.
