You'll need an iron heart and time management skills to start back at your workplace.

Get in on time, do your work (no distractions) and get out on time. You'll be better off than the non-moms brows.gif

It's ok darling, you're doing great!! notworthy.gif . You're your son's mother, not some cow. He deserves your milk more than anyone in the world wink.gif Remember about a mother's instinct? A mother if not producing enough milk will have instinct to feed alternative milks.

Gain 1.5kg in how long? 1 month? 2 months? My baby is 7kg @ 3 months old. Dem heavy sweat.gif But nurse said that's normal for breastfed babies biggrin.gif

Speaking about taste, since u said that fm tastes horrible, how do you know that bm tastes good? tongue.gif

--

I have a milk story to share today.

Today is my baby's first day at the nursery - I supplied her with 3 frozen bottles (15oz) of ebm. The babysitter called at 2pm saying that milk already finished sweat.gif sweat.gif . My brother went to send 3 more bottles - if got extra then can carry on till tomorrow.

Usually when I leave her at home, around 12oz only enough for 8 hours. I currently pump around 18-20oz in the office. Now have to pump more often to keep up with her demand rclxub.gif

But it's ok. I'll get to eat whatever I want. Muahahah icon_idea.gif

syd, 1.5kg for a mth... but he only drinks ebm for 2 weeks... i dunno if it's good news or bad news... he looks chubby... how i know my bm taste nice? coz i tasted it before... tasteless laugh.gif tongue.gif but hb said sweet... whistling.gif make a guess... tongue.gif lucky u have spare... unlike me... 18-20oz divide 3 pumps... one session abt 6oz? wow that's half of wat i get now pumping at work... go pump go pump~! tongue.gif i'll stay beside my boy soon so i won't know how much exactly he drinks... but wat the heck... i've already started on freezing the ebm coz my main argument was wat will happen to my extra ebm since mil is feeding him fm... throw away? he finally gave in... notworthy.gif rclxm9.gif so should i get bottles or bags? even if i get extra bottles or bags i only get one more pack... sad.gif

my wife uses avent products and the good thing is their screw-on caps etc sizes are all the same which makes pumping/storing/feeding the babies with bm(breast milk) easier.
less pouring,changing bottles etc.

HEy nickit!! I Remember u biggrin.gif U are the one who wanted to propose to your bf riteeeeeeeeeeee!!
Now u got baby oredi ahh! Walau time flies!!

Dun worry babes, you wont be the 1st and last to feel discouraged. Not everybody support BF...hiya my MIL everyday also say "WHen switch to FM i will etc etc etc" despite me telling her on a daily basis NEVER as long as I am able to produce milk :/ Then my BIL ask my MIL..har she feeding her son BM? SHe got enuf meh? :/ I was like...ughhhh non of your bisness laa shakehead.gif Just becoz his wife cannot produce, doesnt mean i cant too!! Hmmf!
There must be a reason for human to produce milk for their babies rite...."cow milk for cow maa" i told her, quite fedup.
I am not BM crazy but since everybody says good, of coz all mothers wan to try to give the best. DUnno y so many discouragements at times...summore we work so hard for it. Its harder than my fulltime job to ensure he gets BM! sweat.gif

Ohhh i also starting time produced very little....i nonstop pumping squeezing press press hard hard desperately until milk come out drop by drop, 1 hour only like 1oz-2oz. Then after a while doing that nonstop, oneday my milk decide to flow like nobody biznes. So actually i think everybody also same, sure can produce one, try hard to pump and few days later can see results.

Ya use bottles. I love it!
Kambateee gals!

syd, u drink fresh milk everyday?

mIssfROGY, yaya... that's me tongue.gif how abt ur hb? wat does he say? to me, i think hb will give heaviest impact coz after all he's the one u're familiar than the rest of his family... i mean i always think it this way... i'm married to u therefore u should support me coz i know no one else in ur family before u... i really feel so so so low coz everytime i bring up "finish the fm then no need to buy coz got extra ebm"... he would go bonkers... "someday ur bm will not b enuf for him coz he'll need to drink more" "how other ppl care for ur baby?" "wat happens if ur bm drops or stops?"... i'm really sick n tired listening to these... the other i took out a frozen ebm n my mil said "becareful got infection" huh.gif i just wanna thaw it from the freezer to fridge... wrong ka? it's really tough fighting alone... i really feel like giving up but as a mum u wanna give him the best n i'm trying my best... else y should i care abt increasing bm? or pumping bm? if u have doubts then stop me when i put my whole heart on it... i would literally cry to myself in silent... n they say bring up the child on ur own is better... so i'm (going to) bringing him on my own n i wanna give him ebm... all this is wrong? even when i tried to feed on demand, my mil will say u spend too much time on him... din help out on housework... i know i'm lazy n din help out but u said to bring up the child on ur own... i really have no idea... just coz we have a child i'm confined to home... no going out... coz he won't let me... nor buy a car seat... baby cry la... baby fussy la... dun think he'll stay quiet in the seat when he grow up la... is this the way to start the new year? cry.gif
