nickit,
When I suggested you to put extra milk at parents' place, it's not for you to go there daily to take for usage. It's really an emergency stash & you'll only need to go there once a while to rotate your stash. As for freezing milk in ice cube trays, you can consider Milk Trays. After they're frozen, you can put them in ziplock bags. You can invest in nursing wears - discreet & with easy openings. If not, can consider nursing poncho (but this will attract stares). I've BFed everywhere in public & the best "accessory" is definitely my nursing tank top. You can wear in underneath normal clothing or wear a cardigan etc over it. Most of the time, ppl won't know you are BFing - it looks like you are cradling baby to sleep. Just practice in front of the mirror before you try it outside & you'll be surprised how "less' there is to see. Ask your hubby to see to. It's not as bad as he thinks Re BFing in moving car, big no no cos baby should be in car seat ALL.THE.TIME. If need to, stop the car then only BF. Re ringsling, do give it a try. Just practice more & you'll get it right. As for baby crying when you put him in, do try again but this time walk after you put him inside. I bet he'll calm down. After some time, he'll grow to like it. I used to wear my daughter in a pouch sling when she was smaller & she loved it |

janice, i was thinking of the same milk tray but they're quite heavy on the pocket... i've tok abt stashing of ebm in the freeze but hb suggested not to... just use fm lo
do u still wear the nursing bra inside the tank or just the tank n normal clothes? i've tried to persuade hb to buy a car seat but no... so i had to take extra care wif bb when we go out (but he dun like taking bb out coz he cries... therefore i had to stay home... will try the ring sling out... should the cloth b soft or can it be as hard (not very hard but like starchy) as sarong? |

I have no experience with formula milk poop but my daughter can go 3 days without pooping and flood her diapers with mustard poop afterwards for 2 days
For nursing wear, I carry her in a ring sling. And I also found an awesome top - http://www.thebabyloft.com/catalog/product...roducts_id=1007 No nid to cover tummy. Just a shawl or cardigan will do. I'd buy all the colours if I'm not so stingy with money now |

The lampin doubles as a shawl, just cover, but my baby very notty yo, she dont like, she like to see scenery she'll pull the lampin down, and the fight continues thruout the whole process. Lampin also triple as towel when washing her at mall |

My journey so far;
During 1st two weeks i was soo happy that i seemed to have endless supply of milk, i pump every 3-4hours getting around average 6oz-8oz pertime, around 50oz perday. Then the nitemare begins, my pump went kookoo and i cant pump out the milk. Because i was producing more milk my bb can suck/drink, i had an engorgement and fever. When i recover the next day, my supply went down to 2oz!! Lucky i had 14 bottles of 5oz milk storage else i couldnt meet my baby's needs as he was so used to drinking between 4oz to 7oz perfeed. I was so stressed out, i had to pump every 2 hours, and then later down to every 1 hour to keep up. I am happy to say that after few days of trying, my milk supply is back to normal. For mothers whose supply is running low, try pumping every 2hours. It helps to boast your supply. |
