Speaking of those AF system, I wonder how D300's AF system compared to 7D's.
51 focus points with 15 cross type or 19 focus point with all cross type, which one more superior.

And also compare D700 af to our D3s, hahaa...... as bad as 5DMII to 1D IV? hmm.....

I prefer the 51 AF point system. More versatile. Nikon's 51 AF system is reliable, rarely does misfocus.

Not much comments about D700 versus D3 cause seldom use a D700. But, 1dmk4 vs D3 this I can comment . Under normal condition, the 1dmk4 focuses faster than D3 (both mounting the 70200 version 2, which means VRII and ISII). But then again, the D3 focuses so fast that the extra speed from 1dmk4 doesn't seem to matter anymore.

Under low light condition is where the D3 shines, the 1dmk4 is pretty slow in low light condition. Don't even wanna talk about the 5dmk2 which is even slower and a lot of misfires lol as compared to D3 which is spot on!

Hahaa.... not fair to compare 5dmk2 to D3 la, hahaa... later Canon fans shoot u, compare 5dmk2 to D700 better

any affordable wide angle lens for d5000 ? any recommendations ??

D700 AF very similar to D3's AF.

Even if you compare 5dmk2 to D700, the D700 AF owns 5dmk2 under low light anytime. Even the D300 will be faster and more accurate under low light compared to the 5dmk2. The only AF system that is probably reasonable is the 1dmk4 and 7D.

The 5dmk2 and 1dmk3 and older all have AF issue under low light.

It is the best affordable FF cam. You get a lot of megapixels for that price. Pros and cons. If you're not rushing for time you can slowly focus anyways haha!

Went a few bridal shops, found that most of the camera they use are 5D2.

My cousin just got married not long ago. The bridal shop uses 5D2 totally. We went early in the morning for preparation and there are 7 5D2 lining up on the 2nd floor studio table with their battery charging to ready for the day

Common because they need the megapixels for big prints. But then again, it is usually the bridals that are using the 5dmk2 a lot. If you look around there's a lot of D3 users.. freelance especially and pros included la... Louis Pang?

i hv one unit d40, not used anymore.. but the shutter need to be replaced

Tested the 5dmark II yesterday, AF speed seems like same with D90 only ....other than that, it's perfect.. superb low light performance, not very heavy body(doesn't feel solid as a result of that, even D300s feels better)...with a fast prime lens can practically use that cam without flash

D3100 all the way!! hahaa.... I would drop the D5000 for the D3100 anytime!!
