Well two months ago I got the Samsung Galaxy S as well. I knew about the "before the roll date is charged as normal rate" so I still had my celcom data only line. After that Used the 500mb la.. 2 weeks in kena barred. I called and ask why they say my line limit RM 100. hello, my plan is 50+58 and u give me a limit of RM 100 ?! WTF ! Fine I pay RM 50 to get it unbarred I asked to check see what was my usage. they say cos I didnt subscribe to itemized billing they cant tell. WTF ! at the end I payed RM 180+ for 1st month and yes subscribed to itemized billing.

even if se the net at off-peak time,n only get on9 for a couple of minuites,
my bill comes over almost rm400...
n dunno what happend,on my bill it shows my usage total data billed for rm600++>>>???
wtf??

and im thinking to terminated diz stupid billing issues~

Oh man, that's srewed up. Daylight robbery lah maxis! I walked in and talked to the manager made a big fuss there and they the manager a little bit scared. She proposed to waiver the fee off if she has the power. Said she will try to talk to the big boss.

I am signed up for Galaxy S 12 months. I signed up on the 18th of Oct. I was not informed that the bandwidth will get prorated from 18th to 20th and 21th only start 500MB data plan. So, on the 18th to 20th I got 50MB limit.
50MB is a lot for a mobile phone web browsing at least to me. But they claimed I used 235MB and charged me over 1k for it. My 3G Watchdog captured 5MB the first day and at max 20MB la for the 3 days. WTH right....

So, do be careful. Any suspicious charges straight away go complain.

Hmm, just wondering did Maxis provide a 50Mb limit (Megabit) whereas your watchdog captured 5MB (you hit your limit the first day), second day 20MB (roughly 200+Megabit). Could be the reason why you are being charged so much :/

hehe I was a long time subscriber of maxis postpay about 7 years, then about 1 year ago i terminated my line I went to the service center and told them I wanted to terminate and what ever is out standing I will pay there and then. a month later a bill came from maxis, epic RM 1.00. rclxub.gif W t H~ RM 1??? So I kinda ignore it, the bill kept coming for about 1 year.. lol

because i wanted to buy the Samsung Galaxy S, I went and pay the RM 1 and got the phone. LOL. A very common word/phrase they seem to use is "we cant do any thing this is our procedure" , " it is beyond our control ". damn annoying.

Since we are ranting about maxis, when I got my phone (SGS) I didnt notice there was a dead pixel, I brought back the phone and charged it. around 10 pm or so I was playing with it and notice there was a dead pixel, annoyed I went back to the maxis store at 9am. the fellow there said I have to claim warranty. The device was dead on arrival! I didnt even use it, it was in my hands for less than 24 hours! shakehead.gif I asked why, the sales person said cos they already link the IMEI to my account. w t f.. UNLINK it and relink new one la! doh.gif 'we cant do anything its our procedure'

Lucky for them Samsung service was excellent. got my display swaped in 30mins. damn u maxis, i had to drive up and down to fix my issues.

They even called me to do survey, "would you recommend maxis to your friends and family?" my answer fk NO!

For what i know is. maxis will not limit ur bandwidth when u hit ur subscribed package threshold, but instead they calculate it with normal rate, smart ass maxis, 240mb++ cost RM1k+? How much u pay for ur streamyx bill? They purposely create this blind spot to charge customers. I prefer DIGI. They do care for their customer.

Hrrmm... so many complaine about phone provider lately. When you using maxis you said they are not good once you change to Digi then no coverage here and there....I still think that the best is telekom like old school day no mobile phone at all...but of course days after days we change....

why not try celcom, umobile or tune?

Got a weird question to ask... I'm using maxis data plan of 500MB, just wondering how did maxis calculate on the usage every month, is it as long as i'm not exceeding 500MB in a month, then i'm ok... OR they set a limit of 16MB/day, and if i've exceeded 16MB on that particular day, they'll charge accordingly??

I'm so worried of maybe this is the catch that maxis is playing around in order to make more profit... sad.gif Hope that i was thinking too much...

i was reload my maxis for rm 5 3 days ago n i tried to subscribe the daily maxis blackberry internet service

n guess what, after 3 minutes i reload up, the credit is now only ringgit 3.12 !! WTF !? where was my money gone???

and again just now i reload rm 3 and i subscribed for the BIS, i got sms stated that "your balance is insufficient so we are unable to process"
