 Maxis is crazy!, F u maxis!

I just got my line barred again. Twice in a week! mad.gif

Here's how it is:
Applied for Samsung Galaxy S package on the 18th of Oct.
Life span - 1 week.

According to Maxis, my data plan only starts on 21th of Oct, so basically I used Maxis 3G on 18th to 20th using their normal rate.
I asked for numbers and she told me I used 234MB and it costs RM1000+. But max billed is RM250 so that's what I am getting.
First off, I was not informed.
Secondly, it is impossible for me to use that much on a phone which never been to Youtube or any movie sites before (so far), and most of the time using wi-fi at home.
Thirdly, I am in an area without 3G, I am getting EDGE at best and 3G in town.

So, WTF?
Barred my line twice, billed me wrongly and was so arrogant to immediately cut me when I am speaking and say iPhone is known to have errors in data reading bla bla bla.

F u Maxis.


Everyone with the same problems, please do share how you solve this? Need help here.

OMG, sounds like this is so damn common with maxis. I can't terminate my contract, they will have charges and it will make things more unworthy...

I do use 3G watchdog to track my internet usage that's why I tell Maxis this is unbelievable.

Oh man, that's srewed up. Daylight robbery lah maxis! I walked in and talked to the manager made a big fuss there and they the manager a little bit scared. She proposed to waiver the fee off if she has the power. Said she will try to talk to the big boss.

I am signed up for Galaxy S 12 months. I signed up on the 18th of Oct. I was not informed that the bandwidth will get prorated from 18th to 20th and 21th only start 500MB data plan. So, on the 18th to 20th I got 50MB limit.
50MB is a lot for a mobile phone web browsing at least to me. But they claimed I used 235MB and charged me over 1k for it. My 3G Watchdog captured 5MB the first day and at max 20MB la for the 3 days. WTH right....

So, do be careful. Any suspicious charges straight away go complain.

You shouldn't pay. Paying them means you've succumbed to their mistakes. Weird, they couldn't tell you the billing info? I called 123 and scolded them till they tell me my usage.

Mine was 1 week only barred twice.
First time got barred because they BARRED THE WRONG NUMBER? Wtf? They didn't even apologised.

Okay, here's an update. Maxis called me twice, I lodged too many complains so they are a little frightened not to do their job. First thing they told me they will give me a RM50 off as a goodwill service.

I told them, at first maxis didn't tell me my data plan only starts after 3 days, wth is that goodwill service? I want full waiver over the bill. Naturally, she replies "there's nothing else I can do, it's the companies policy."

So, I asked for details on my internet usage. The moment she open mouth already got mistake. She said I used 50MB starting from 5pm on the 18th of Oct (the day I registered for SGS). I told her at 5pm I was still waiting in line lah, and my unit took quite sometime because I rejected the first unit, the counter girl only finish registering around 6.30. What are you talking about? Of course I do browse internet when I was trying the phone. But not until 50MB. This is nuts.

Then when I asked for more details about the day after, she kept quiet and just told me the time. WTH is this?

I am too lazy to be bothered anymore. I'll terminate my data plan for RM500 more...
Do you think it's wise to terminate data plan?
If they don't repeat this silly mistake, I might not terminate...
