hey moggle, just for updating, the fullsize keyboard might develope in futher to have media key as well as windows lock key, but it's not confirm yet because they currently are in discussion.
To much of my surprise, for Leopold Keycap quality, it is very very siiliar to Steelseries 7G, as it's from the same manufacturer. i had try my friends 6Gv2, the keycaps are indeed thinner than 7G. Both 7G and Leopold FC200R keycaps has the same thickness. Leopold seems to be using a new laser imprinting mephod. And one important thing would be lettering does not become yellow like my 7G. As for ducky, I've tried multiple keys comparison and found out that Ducky Keycaps certain keys does not have the same thickness as other keycaps. For comparison on Ducky Keycaps, pull out your ESC and your ASDW Keycaps and compare, ESC are somewhat more thin. |

Waiting for 7Gv2 with laser etched key caps ^^ Your ducky keyboard means which model? You do the studies by using which keyboard. Well, i only have Ducky DK9008 Black on Black Key caps. so i'm doing comparisons based on DK9008.But another thing is you make me hate 7G key caps, the stupid printing method. Leopold on the other hand, still shows no sign of yellowyish, but currently, i'm still using the keyboard for only 1 week, i'll update more if anything changed. For pictures, i apologize as i'm currently unable to update more pictures, because currently my computer got buttsecks by zeus lightning and psu, mobo, and possible other hardware parts, gone. |

All this will be solved if you use blank letter keycaps lol!
The only thing that I can't get used to using blank keycaps in the top 1-9/0 row. Somehow never managed to memorize their locations. |

I willl only use blank for alphabet if can.The only thing that I can't get used to using blank keycaps in the top 1-9/0 row. Somehow never managed to memorize their locations. But if buying the original keyboard with blank key caps then no choice. Must try to do touch typing all the way. |

well, yeah, i have to agree with jasmineivan.
for alphabets, i don't really mind if it's blank, but the problem is with all those symbols, i gonna have a nightmare remembering their them. i only remember some, but those symbols on Shift+1~9 , i still have some difficulties remembering them. |

Are there any recommended methods to clean or prevent the keyboard from dust?
I put the plastic cover provided by Ducky on the keyboard whenever I do not use the keyboard but still a lot of dust accumulates on my keyboard. Not surprising because my room is open-air. Wet cloths are only so good at cleaning the keyboard. I need something more convenient. I haven't tried those portable vacuum... I don't know if they are really effective considering the dust actually sticks on the keyboard quite well. |

QUOTE(xcen @ Jan 6 2011, 02:21 PM) Are there any recommended methods to clean or prevent the keyboard from dust? Seal your room up with no windows and no doors, then you won't get dust.I put the plastic cover provided by Ducky on the keyboard whenever I do not use the keyboard but still a lot of dust accumulates on my keyboard. I don't know if they are really effective considering the dust actually sticks on the keyboard quite well. Honestly, preventing dust on the keyboard is unrealistic. No matter how great of a clean-freak one is... so yea, live with it (you do not know how many times I have to wipe my DAS every day). Get a good micro-fibre cloth (one which REALLY takes out dust with one wipe), not those capalang rm2 ones you can find in pasar malam. Of course I'm not saying to pay over RM10 for one piece that is. A static duster also helps. And then at the end of each month, remove your keyboard and clean thoroughly. |
