Try download Gps Test app from market. You can use that to see the satellites visibllity and u can estimate when u will get locked gps.. Once locked, you can close it and start using google maps, or papago
*
Tested... at first no sattelites detected than got 5 appear in about 30 secs.. and i see the word 4 in use accuracy about 80 feet. than suddenly all dissapear again... WHat the !!! what does this mean ?
QUOTE(lch78 @ Nov 4 2010, 08:57 AM)

It can't be that bad.. I suspect you are indoor while doing this? If not, then you better send it for warranty.. It might be slow to lock, but it will lock eventually. Cannot be blinking all the time...
*
Most of the time i'm outdoor and testing it while standing still...am i the fated one that ppl says my hardware got problem ? Lol

OMG... jz receive a sms from maxis telling me that my credit limit has been upgraded to RM1500.

This sounded so scary, as my limit was RM500. Now they increase like this, making me feel that they are planning to give a mega bill soon....

yeah i used to do that too during 8 hours flight ( i used to live in sydney) but with my Omnia 2.
Omnia 2 battery capacity is the same as SGS which is 1500mah..but boy, i use omnia 2 for gps
now using papago, been using it the whole day till night time only 1 bar drop!! laugh.gif

i hope official froyo will improve this ...hopefully as good as Omnia 2 in terms of daily usage.
