Hi all. new dad to be here smile.gif

My wife expected to due on June 2016. She's currently working as MO at one of the Goverment Hospital in Klang Valley
and Im currently working in private sector also in Klang Valley

And from what she told me, she entitled of first class treatment at Goverment Hospital depends on avaibility.
And my current company also support up to rm3.5k for maternity cost for spouse

My question now is what do guys think is the best option for my wife and is there any way to use my company maternity allocation for her?

I plan for her to deliver at private but the cost is too high and afraid if there is C-section then the cost would be higher.

Pls recommend me best Hospital huhu

You should ask what your wife think, since she is the one working in the GH.

My company offered 2.5k for maternity cost too, but my colleague wife's who is a government servant rather delivery in PPUM.

As for me, I'm don't have much patience. I think waiting 1hr for my check up is taking a toll on my sanity.

I don't mind going to gov hosp if can request for female only staff.. It's not possible cause housemen also need to learn how to deliver etc. That's my only reason to go private sad.gif

Ironically O&G is a female unfriendly specialty due to its nature - 24 hr duty, high litigation, very non family friendly etc.. Salute to all female O&G drs out there.

Hi All,

New dad here. Just sharing what it cost me:

Assunta Hospital, Single Room - cesarean
Cost = Around 9k+

Mommy cost = 7k+
Baby cost = 1k+

Also there is price difference if giving birth on weekend/weekday + office hour/after office hour....

If weekend & after 5pm then cost for C-section can shoot up to RM13k

May i know what are the charges for FPP?
*
this weekend will be my first checkup for my 2nd time taking fpp

i think for registration, one time pay rm160. then for every checkup maybe once a month or twice a month, each ranging from rm 60 - 100 if i am not mistaken.
later during delivery you need to deposit rm3k. then once final charge is out they will give the balance or you need to topup. you can just call or walk to hpj.. cool2.gif

Do you mean for FPP, monthly checkup is done at hospital and not KKIA?

Hi I am planning to do the fpp as well cause is so much cheaper. there is a few things that i would appreciate your opinion based on your experience. How did you find their service? did you manage to get the executive room for FFP? I heard that usually there will be no rooms for it.
