999 and being tied for 2 years? no way lol

i get the 1.2k (1 year contract), then break the contract and pay the penalty (since they dont sell directly from the center in ipoh).
*
how much is the penalty if u break the contract? Does the penalty differ between 1 year n 2 year plan?

ntfs has always been a hit and miss with every other OS except microsoft's.

and they're gonna charge manufacturers for their exFAT filesystem in the future.

Guys, juz wanna ask which shooting mode is better for night? Went over to Gurney Penang yesterday. I noticed N8's pics are bright enough without flash. The first pic below is landscape mode, second is night mode. Personally i prefer the yellowish landscape mode though (the lightings there are yellowish in the first place).

Quite some considerable amount of noise, i think the camera tend to over expose pics, even in night mode i think i need to reduce the ISO. And, maybe there is camera shake, =.=, my hands... sigh...

The area that got light, sure a bit blurr, or is that noise? My photos some are like that, especially outdoors one, Indoors one not that significant.

Added on October 24, 2010, 10:09 amMore pics. Indoor shots on the N8 is good, only outdoor night shots are a bit tricky for me. Everything is Automatic - scene mode, flash, EV, ISO...

Since Nokia has always been "cheap" doubt they will pay for this feature either.

Over exposure. rclxub.gif Ya, i have that problem, not that obvious indoors, but outdoor night shots, the lights around, there seems to be some. I think i need to try again by decreasing ISO. hmm.gif

aspire's posted video looks normal, same as what I saw with the demo set. I also compare side by side to the customer service lady.

I don't know if it's normal, maybe each unit has slightly different brightness/contrast settings, but we can't change it from the settings; If we can change it then possibly we can test further. We can only play with the brightness or Light Sensor "Settings->Phone->Display->Light Sensor".
Tested all settings still same.
Is there an app to adjust the brightness/contrast?

If you got drop by shopping malls, you can test the demo set N8 there, you can do side by side comparison under the SAME lighting condition, and try also you can try covering the light sensor and see the difference between your unit and the demo set.
So far, the demo set I tested was OK or acceptable;
The N900 never had such problem.
The N97 Mini have some slight problem but not obvious unless you really look into it, but I'm not sure if all N97 Mini is like that.

Maybe if there is a proper app for us to adjust the brightness and contrast setting, and possibly the sensor behaviour, we might be able to test more and find out the problems? Because as I said, in outdoor under bright day, it look perfectly normal and clear, even if I cover the light sensor, it still looks normal and great.

The brightness affected the way you see the picture. Try testing the video running in the dark room, but with a torch light to fool the sensor thinking you're in a light up room.

You tend to notice this even when watching HDTV when its dark and bright.

Not a big issue.

Please take picture of before and after you put the SP. Use the same image if possible. Try taking at different angle too. flex.gif
