Swts. I doubt there is any SLT that will use OVF lo. EVF is the new breakthrough in camera tech since we moved from film to digital. Doubt they are gonna drop EVF lol. Anyway, try snapping 10 fps with SLT and see the results lo. Does not mean you have to buy one lol.

tried liao la. well...EVF still feels a bit weird IMO..no doubt the viewfinder is HUGE!

If you guys wanna know what good bokeh is, look at the top left hand corner of mastering89's series of borrowed pics. See that solitary light spot there? The STF renders it without any sharp edges and transitions smoothly from the light tones to the darker tones. On the other lenses, it gets a clear circle and stands out clearly from the dark background.

not my pic la, strictly pinjam only sweat.gif
cannot afford such bokeh sweat.gif and lenses

zstan : hmm i rarely use the EVF, most of the time use the superb liveview (bigger EVF laugh.gif).

For what I know, using EVF drain battery faster than Liveview (LCD)...well EVF is technically considered as LV as well.

yi? how could that happen?
i thought the EVF is smaller and less consume power..

actually by average how much shot can be taken if using LV?

The 55-200mm lens is a newer kit lens and thus gives better results as compared to the 75-300mm lens. The 75-300mm lens is a slow focusing lens and will show some softness in its output after the 200mm mark. However the 75-300mm is a full frame compatible lens while the 55-200 is a DT lens meaning it is for APS-C bodies.

In conclusion the 55-200mm performs better than the 75-300mm. Unless you are looking to go full frame, there is little reason to get the 75-300mm lens apart from the extra range.

for sure,
but im certain that im 90% with the liveview, seriously for me its abit hard to MF sharp2 with EVF. probably bcoz i cant hold stable sad.gif

the live view is easier, tilt here and there laugh.gif
haha u jangan selalu bring out that sony is better this and that. dslt have 10/7 fps blah3x sure la they panas sweat.gif

8tvt : EVF = electronic viewfinder , basically its a small live view inside the viewfinder nod.gif . hmmm no different i think in LV/EVF, slt are dem good whistling.gif

rehohk :

SAL55200 vs Minolta 75300 (this one im assuming the non big beercan one, comparing as i used the sal75300)
-sal55200 abit faster autofocus imho
-sal55200 is sharper imho, and minolta/sony 75300 is abit not sharp from focal length of 200mm-300mm)
-sal55200 probably have warranty laugh.gif
-sal55200 is shorter and cuter (my fren said)

Well, it is otherwise as mentioned by DPreview

The specification says..
• EVF: 330 images
• LCD: 380 images
Which means EVF uses more energy that LCD.

Fullframe is a reference to a crop factor.

user posted image
Black – Full Frame
Red – 1.3x Crop Factor
Yellow – 1.5x Crop Factor --> Sony ASPC sensor cameras (1.52x)
Green – 1.6x Crop Factor

*Sony has a DT line specifically designed for their APS-C cameras. These lenses can be mounted on any Sony Alpha, but are specifically designed for the a100-a700 series and the earlier Konica Minolta Dynax 5D and 7D. DT lenses can be mounted on an A850 or A900 in "crop" mode, where the frame is cropped and the resolution is halved.

hope ull understand abit more now... smile.gif

Full frame means a DSLR has a sensor size that is the same size as the film used in the film days. APS-C DSLR has a sensor that is smaller than a full frame and usually has a crop factor of 1.5x or 1.6x (Canon)

For Sony Alphas all DSLRs except the A900 and A850 are APS-C bodies.

Google shall give you more details.

Lenses that are not designed for full frame sensors will cause vignetting when used on FF bodies. However if you mount an Sony/Minolta DT lens onto the A900/A850 the output will be automatically cropped to APS-C size.
