sorry just to ask what the stable OC for x4 635 with stock heatsink ? mobo is asus M4A788LT-M
current temp is 39C ori setting if OC could reach 45C with 222Mhz but not stable
do i need to lower down the HT Mhz ? any advise ?

may i know what's the normal HT link speed without any oc? Can consider as my first time using AM3 processor myself, before this never really had a look into this kinda stuff.

using athlon II x3 425, on Asus M4N68T-M V2. My current HT Link now is 1000MHz.

Scythe Announces Mine 2 CPU Cooler

Japanese cooling specialist Scythe hereby officially announces the launch the new high-end CPU Cooler Mine 2. The Mine 2 CPU Cooler is based on a twin cooler Layout. Eight copper heatpipes transport heat to two generously dimensioned cooling blocks. By placing the fan in between the 2 heatsink towers, intake as well as exhale airflows are optimized to provide high performance. Furthermore, the lower part of the installed fan is designed to cool the devices around the CPU socket, such as voltage regulators and RAM. The structure of the heat sink makes it possible to use a total of up to three fans by purchasing separately sold fan clips. In this manner, the air flow and thus the cooling capacity of the Mine 2 will be significantly increased by using the push / pull principle.

By default, the Mine 2 will be delivered with a centrally placed, adjustable 140 mm Slip Stream PWM & VR fan. Although the fan supports the PWM feature, the user can manually adjust the PWM bandwidth between 470 to 1,370 rpm and 740 to 1,900 rpm. Despite the changed bandwidth, the fan is still controlled by the PWM signal from the motherboard, allowing an individual but also dynamic fan control. Alternatively it is possible to disable the PWM function. Instead the fan can be controlled manually in a range of 500 to 1,700 rpm. This gives every user the option to optimize the Mine 2 CPU cooler for performance or low noise according to own preferences.



For safe and stable attachment to the motherboard, the new F.M.S.B.3 (Super Flip Mount Backplate 3) mounting system is used. Due to the improved design of the backplate, Mine 2 CPU is compatible with all current sockets, including the new LGA1155.

Scythe Mine 2 will be available worldwide from early February 2011 for 50.50 Euro (Excl. VAT).

just back from sls for windows shoppin... thinkin of changin razor goliathus to cm cs-s battlepad... apart from bein slightly cheaper, d box of battlepad is alot more smaller (easier for posto). what say u guys? as for tim, just saw gelic gc2 (7g, big fat tube) is just slightly more expensive than tr cfII.... hmmm... care to suggest guys?  :/hmm:

AMD JUST LOST two more executives, COO Bob Rivet and VP of Corporate Strategy Marty Seyer. There is no official word as to why they left, and neither will be departing immediately.

There is no real news, official or unofficial, on the departures, why they happened, and who's initiative they were. Given that CEO Dirk Meyer left a few weeks ago under less than optimal circumstances, these latest two are not a huge shock. Neither the AMD press site or their investor relations site has anything posted on the departures, but AMD did file an SEC 8-K form about Bob Rivet yesterday.

It is said that both men will stay on for a bit to ease the transition, so it looks like these departures are on much better terms than the last one. The best we were able to find was that both decided to "pursue new opportunities", on the same day, with more or less the same transition plan.

In any case, it looks like there is a complete rethinking of AMD management going on in Austin right now. You can be assured that the changes near the top are far from over, and there will be an attendant reshuffling of power once things settle down. As of now, it looks like a pretty standard corporate shakeup precipitated by a senior executive leaving.S|A
