i plan to allocate about 10G for ubuntu is it good enough for it?what the minimum space size for ubuntu?what the recommended space size?

also any other partition need to be set...except the root and swap?
*
- 10GB ok but depend, u want to add many application or not later on. Min 4-5GB i think..
- For beginner, root & swap enough edi unless u want to hav another part for back-up / share purposes..

Normally just need the root and swap. I only set aside 5gb for my root and 1gb for swap, since the rest I have on the shared FAT32 partition smile.gif

1 - check your card support by ubuntu or not. - dont waste your time for unsupported card
2 - check your card working or not >sudo iwconfig
3 - then, configure it tru "network manager"

wanted to install it on my family PC, but my small bro n sis wanna play those Yahoo games..iianm it need windows to run right?since the file is .exe, not .run or .deb etc etc....

been scouting on cedega, but it is said that u can install games on cedega only when u have the CD/DVD, i mean direct install using installshield..

qemu, bochs

with qemu you can download the qemu accelerator kernel module, which is unfortunately proprietary. but it can be faster.

proprietary in what means? $$$ or just copyrighted like .mp3?

edit: it's copyrighted....but will it have 3d acceleration?VMware doesnt have it.

You need at least 2 partitions.
One is "/" and another is "swap"

About dual boot, hmm, have you got the partition for Ubuntu ready?
