Should be alright, I guess. Just tell them the reason why you need to reschedule the interview.

i doubt it is an wise move to apply for more than one position as that imply you do not know exactly what you want (undecided) and appeared to be shooting in the dark for a position.

identify one that suits your interest and qualifications and focus on that.

How to give a good answer;
If your colleague quarrel with you when only both of you are performing equipment installation/commisioning at oversea and the project need to be completed in time. How do you overcome this tight situation?

positions under different managers but hiring is the job of HR i believe some companies keep track/record of the applications that come in.

i have met few HR managers that rejected such applications because it gave them the impression that the applicants are not determined, made up their minds or not confident of nailing a job- that's why so many applications to many positions.

to answer to KingOfRiver i think this one falls back to communication. locked each other up in a room until all stuff is settled, or at least only one left to go out...

It depends on what type of job you're looking for. Unless the company/ad specifically asks for your CGPA, I think it's best not to put it out on your resume.

I mean, sometimes, some company don't emphasize on CGPAs but since you show yours out, you kind of give them a chance to skip over you. For example, if you don't have any working experience, you don't put down "No working experience". Surely if a potential employer sees that, they'll skip over you.

Just wait until they call you up for an interview and only tell them when asked. Some things you don't have to tell the interviewers, and it won't hurt to tell a little white lie. tongue.gif But don't bluff until overboard la, of course.

I will be goin for an interview next week & I've got a question here..What if they ask:

Q: What are your 2 greatest achievements?
A: Which topic do I need to focus on? Edu? Non-academic actvs?

For your info, I'm a freshie. So nothing to shout about on past employment/position.

You may talk about your achievement that you are proud of. It can be anything under the sun, not necessary academic but the co-curricular activities that you have involved before, leadership position that you have hold, sport, or charity, etc..

Compare the company and the other four. State the differences that the company has and are not found in other companies..

The trick is not to put you in a position for them to ask that question.

If they ask you why did you choose their company, go ahead and say that you have intentions and the interest in the company. Then talk about how good you think that this company is and continue to tell the interview the good things you have heard (research from internet/friends/etc..etc..).

I did attended an interview last week. The question they asked (for fresh graduate with no experience) are :

Tell us about yourself.
What do you know about our company?
Why do you choose to work with our company?
What can you see yourself in 10 years with our company?
What if your boss scold you and you know that you are in the right position?
What can you contribute to our company?

Thats all and i hope i can get the good news from them..

I am curious how you answered this. Or rather, what replies would other forumers have on this query?

My answer: I would re-state my stand/opinion, and get the boss to acknowledge my view before he decide what he wants.
