Hi dear sifus biggrin.gif I've been reading some of the post in here and am really interested in how you all manage your finance. Mind if i join in?
I'm interested in investment, wealth generating, and cash saving methods.
I'm really new to this and i think is very important for me to start even now.

I just started working last month and got a pay RM550 cuz i start in the middle of the month ==. But anyway I'm a diploma n in internship for 3months , RM800 per month.
Asset :
Car-proton waja-got car but parents pay fuel. Until i actually earn enuf but probably won't be long (so not even mine)
Cash-RM 800/m

Liability :
Phone - RM30-50/m (thinking of goin postpaid not sure yet)
Food - RM 100/m mostly eat at house sometimes go "yum cha" ><
Lifestyle <RM 50 nothing to really buy tried to keep it minimum.
Life saving - RM100/m cannot touch until old sad.gif
Tithes - RM 80

So left mayb RM500 or less. I'm currently just putting it into alliance bank for saving. What steps can I take? I'm willing to learn investment or other stuff to generate some more cash.
My plan is to get 1 year of experience and then continue study for degree around same time next year. After my intern I will get raised to 1k+

Any comment,suggestion or help?

If u can consistently make 30% return p.a. I think u can be the richest man in the wolrd ady. Even WB annualised return only 24.5% p.a. at most. biggrin.gif

Hi, i am fresh entry to working environment. I just need a big help and advise on how to increase my saving. I read through some advise that about consideration on ASM, mutual funds or fixed deposit, stock. Basically, I am normal office worker. So i hope that i can make some side small investment. Some question is quite doubt me:
1. ASM is available any time?how to get an account?
2. Public mutual is good when met a good and responsible agent?(heard many ppl said that)
3. Fixed deposit is quite little return although it is safe enough..
3. what is the risk of the gold investment from those bank?
and many others....@.@ hope can get helped here. many thanks

Smarter people do NOT accuse specifically until evidence is in hand.
Not-too-smart people on the other hand... in future, please choose which U wish to be.

In the real world (no hiding behind stupid nicks/handles), U'd be hauled up to defend your accusation by your accuser and if you've no proper evidence, there will be a price to be paid.

Hi, that depends on your age also I guess, me too looking at this now. M in 30s and can afford for some risk for this money. After really sit down to do checking on some mutual funds info, realized that to make 12% p,a, average over 10 years is the record.

Much better than some saving plans by the insurance companies.

plus I can stop the saving temporary anytime I want to if I decided to take the money for holiday later.. hehe...

I calculated with RM 500 x 12 mths x 10 years = RM 60,000 savings. It will turn RM 132,000 with just simple calculation. Compounding like FD will be more lah, but I always look at the simple calculation so whatever I get extra is bonus lah =p.

I do buy a bit stock but always no time to monitor, missed the cash out point when price r good... hv to hold on lah... what to do.

Well talk is easy and calculation can always show great profit for 'average' 12% gain per year. For those who have been investing a while knows that past performance is not equal to future performance. Also the gains will not be steady, there are bad times and good, depending when you are buying. Invest based on your risk tolerance, and if you take 12% as a guide then your risk tolerance is very high...Question is do you have the holding power if your stocks suddenly take a 40%-50% dive? or do you dare to double down once it hits these number? laugh.gif Well it happened in 1997,2001 and latest at 2008... wink.gif

thumbup.gif that's exactly what i experienced. Last time i also have some spare cash and thinking to put in PMF as i am thinking 3 - 5 years as medium term investment. Guess what? till today i am still making lost. But i have recently re-invest in those funds and average out the cost. Hopefully i will get break even or gain some profit in next 2 years. That's pretty sad isn't it? Total of 7 years and i am just hoping for break even or slightly gain.

P/s: Just to make things clear, i am pretty lazy to manage my portfolio last time in terms of PMF investment. But i will pay extra attention to it now biggrin.gif
