am in the market to get a second hand wira..which year is most recommendable?..or specifically which batch of the wira is better?..better in terms of lower maintenance and less problem.

Not about maintenance problem, you get the best power to weight ratio
Maintenance is more or less the same for all engines

not to say 1.6 has less maintenance problem. but given to experience mechanic/owner, the car is less problematic.

some of the 1.6 parts are different than 1.3/1.5, with a bit higher price.
1 thing though, with 1.6 you won't feel the car underpower, unlike 1.3/1.5.
highway drive is very fuel economy, mine around 14.5cents per-km.
town drive is quite bad. around 20cents per-km.

i plan to buy wira 1.8 dohc auto,any bad and good about this car? currently using wira 1.5 manual..

The only bad thing about your choice for the 1.8 will be the auto transmission

I bought mine RM180 without workmanship. Seems expensive. How much you bought your 75A alternator?

Nvm, I just turn on my ICU, the alternator is likely to die. Then I claim again.

Mine was 250 including workmanship way back in 2006, working fine until now and still charging good

Forgot how much..I think RM150 including workmanship..the foreman come to my house to fix..because my car cannot start anymore


Guys, If I sell my 1.5 Auto, then get 1.6 or 1.8..its a good choice?

dun get back proton laa... try find AE101 or even newer car if u have the budget...

1.5 and 1.6 share same roadtax ma, RM90
So try to get bigger cc engine while maintain roadtax which is the 1.6

yea la.... car below 1.6L road tax is within RM100.....
