@babybunny,
Yes u can but they aren't selling Hotlink packs at the Ballroom. You also need to ensure the line owner is present to show his NRIC.

any of you didn't tear off the original plastic yet? i really fedup of install new sp.... u know.... there are always small white dust go into the sp....and u will see dot dot dot dot after placing.......
*
You need some expert service from me? Mine is perfect. Best condition to apply the sp is at a room with your fan off to prevent dirt from flying. The static clothe u use to wipe make sure no tiny bulu left on the screen. Else, get the cello tape to peel it back. smile.gif

@choocy,
Hmm... I think they finally figured out people from other time slots are coming in earlier; guess they're just changing policies to be fair to both customers and their internal stakeholders biggrin.gif

Got my iphone 4 yesterday at 1am....very bad experience....Firstly, my slot is at 6-10pm yesterday and I reached there by 3pm , got my number so and so... Waited about 11 hours( I understand that everyone had their fair share of hardwork)....Secondly, if u guys remember, we were to give our numbers to the guy/girl at the door so that he or she can inform us about our queue....However, no one send me an sms or call me and when i reach the counters, my number has already passed...The reason they told me why they didn't call me, its because the personnel responsible went home....I wouldn't say am very fortunate even though i got my phone after 1 am...

Did u guys encounter the same situation? Or even worse?

its true thou.... as for me my purchase was a very quick one.... number being called.... sit... gave her my booking chit, she key in the data, pay the amount by cash, got my phone, cut my simcard and i was on my way home.... took about 5 minutes.... as most people over there i see it took them almost 10 minutes - 20 minutes tops... i dont know what are they doing hogging there for so long.... lol
*
Wow, u are super lucky. My case is 45min, din hog the counter at all. All form filled up. Pass credit card and ic. The lady was super slow, took her 10min to calculate the amount And other time I dunno wat she doing.

From what I noticed they experienced some system hiccups as they try to process the activation of the simcards. Lots of other reasons for the slowdown, for example many customers got their own grandfather story to ask and nego call plans.

It's a shitstorm, yeah only those who really want the phone need apply.

You must be new. I've been doing that since iPhone 3G. Or your phone isn't that desirable, or you're willing to jump in late. Either way, you're missing out on a unique experience. Personally, I've no qualms queueing if I'm there with friends, time passes by when the 8 of us are together.

That's why i said, it is better just to estimate the time urself (1 number per min), then go back home, and come back urself at ur estimated time.

This is my story, I took my number 39XX at 2pm, and it was only 32XX.
I did the calculation in heart 700/60 min=10 hours ++
I wasn't really believe in this, but when i came back (from doing some stuff outside garden) at 7pm, it was only 35XX. It was then i make myself more sure about the estimation of 1 customer/min.

Straight away, i went back home and relax, do my stuff until 11pm, where i feel it was really close to my turn, only i went there.
Yea, my number was over, but so what, they give the first priority queue for those whose numbers are over, i took me less than half hour to get everything done after i reach Garden.

p/s: besides, you can as well as check the queue number here, lots of forumers are updating here! smile.gif

MY PHONE HAS SERIOUS ATENNA PROBLEM!! HOW'S YOURS?

Haha...true also....
The experience with friends and enjoying the atmosphere there is priceless.

What I am complaining is the organizer dunno how to arrange the events properly and let us user suffer to q-ing for long hours.

Based on this recent phenomena, I guess telcos should apply a different approach for iPhone 4GS and beyond. Maybe allow ordering online and deliver to homes/offices even before launch. Let the consumers fork out for delivery costs also I think there would be takers.

Just got back from Gardens, was one of the first batch to get the phone for this morning. Reached at 7.40 a.m., got the phone at 11.15 ish. At that time only 30+ counters open.
