One of you could just pass your phone number and everyone can contact that person. That's how we meet up everytime we have a TT (teh tarik) meetup session.

A: Yes you can. You can bring in a guest with you.

Q: i forgot to print out the confirmation email? How?
A: Confirmation ID can be printed and they can do that for you on the spot.

Q: Any free bumper case from Maxis?
A: No free bumper cases available. They are not giving out the bumper case @ the launch but u still can apply thru the Official Apple site. More info here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1509871

Q: do i need to register or something? or i can just go there?
A: i believe u need to have ur confirmation id but you can go there to spectate.

Q: can any1 confirm that u can get 2nd Iphone 4 off the contract (RRP) if u purchase 1st set with contract.
A: Yes you can. Just met a fellow forummer, he is the first 60 who got the phone. He also bought an additional phone outright.

Q: what if i have da confirmation id but im not going due to some personal reason n yet i asked my frens to go on behalf on me?? is it acceptable?
A: cannot i think. Just now i asked the maxis ppl at midvalley. He said u have to be there urself.

Q: Do they provide micro sim?
A1: No need to pay for Micro sim and you can get it there and then. Maxis will give you the MICRO SIM when you purchase the iPhone - FOC.[credit bontaku]

Q: buying iphone 4 outright..Could u tell us more details regarding it?
A1: Get into a contract - doesn't matter what plan - you get iphone from that contract.
You can then ADD JUST the iPhone 4 (doesn't matter what size). In total - one iPhone with contract and one without (please keep in mind - no sim lock) [credit bontaku]

A3: To buy outright purchases, just go to the counter when it's ur turn and tell them u want to purchase outright. [credit tinkerbel]

Q: Can you leave the ballroom and come back later after getting the ticket?
A: I wasn't allow to go out when i was there. If i do, I hard to queue up again even tho i got the ticket number. I think you better ask the security guard or the lady at the ticket machine. [credit bontaku]

Q: What IOS 4 does it come with?
A: Maxis sets came with 4.0.2[credit teikwing]

Q: Installment plan? How?
A: The Visa/Master CR Card merchant is only for Citibank, HSBC, Public bank, Maybank and CIMB Bank on installment plans.

Example, If you purchase ip4 32GB on Ivalue 1 X 12 months contract = RM1990

Ivalue 1 : RM400 for 24 months and RM200 for 12months <--advance payment
ivalue 2 :RM620 for 24 months and RM200 for 12 months
ivalue 3 : RM1250 for 24 months and RM500 for 12 months
ivalue 4: RM2000 for 24 month, RM1000 for 12 months

This so called advance payment is either Swap your credit card which is not under installement plans, however there is a rebate RM40 X 5 months = RM200 which is credit back in your bill.
Basically the advanced payment will be credited equally over in 1st 5 months of your bill. [credit weileong]

Q: Can trade-in old phones?
A: Yes you can. Any phone, as said by one of the Maxis representatives.

What to do:

In short this is what goes on:-

1. Queue outside (near the escalator above GSC Cinema / RedBox Gardens) - there is a person next to a number ticketing machine.
They will check whether you have the confirmation ID & cross ref with your IC. I assume if your name doesn't fit - you might not get in. (I am not confirmed - just assuming!)

2. After checking, you need to fill in a "iPhone 4 Collection Checklist". Someone does it for you. They ask what is your mobile no, name, ic, what plan, 16 or 32GB phone, do you have ic (if not you can use Credit card, driver's license).

3. When you are called in, you go into a small area between the outside and ballroom. I assume only 60 ppl are called in each time.

4. Guess you have to wait to be called into the main ballroom. I can't tell you cos I was the first batch and hardly any waiting. There are 60 counters and they are very friendly and helpful. I think you want to speed up the process - photocopy your ic and make sure you have your confirmation ID and checklist and number in hand or at least ready.

I asked the guy serving me - authorization letter is not accepted unless owner is present because the owner needs to sign contract! This is what the guy who served me said. Please be warned - I am telling what i know.

I assume average half an hr per customer if no hiccups. He/She needs to enter details, go thru the plan once again, swipe CC and check your phone - then out you go! [credit bontaku]

Guys, if you can, just don't post "I'll be there". Atleast give us more info if you're buying the iPhone or just going there to join the party.
