by default facetime works only with wifi but there a software that can make facetime works with 3g..... forgot the software name tho.

Another one here unable to FaceTime on 4.2.1,was ok on 4.1
Hope Celcom updates its system..if not have to revert to 4.1

We should send an email to celcom then. Let them know that their system is outdated and ask them to update it..

some said bcoz of celcom is not official carrier for IPhone, Apple doesnt allow celcom to use facetime as u can see carrier name under Setting>General>About>Carrier : Carrier 8.0

not like maxis (MYMAXIS X.0) and digi (not sure)....i think wait untill celcom become an official carrier this problem will resolved.....hmmm wait some more......

but the thing is, some users reported they succesfully activated facetime while they're in 4.1, as for myself, even at 4.1 also cant activate..

I think it is because of the celcom problem. I use iphone 4 for 2 month, ios 4.1 suddenly my facetime cannot on and need to activate last week. Since then i cant activate my facetime anymore.

dude, my setting is exactly like yours, but still cant activate, and i bet a lot of user here are facing the same problem.

i've tried with ur setting...still cant avtivate...wait je lah until celcom be ip4 official carrier......

just got out the phone with Celcom CS, they told me that they would not support any of iphone application at the moment, even after I told them that this will be a big problem and I might jump to another carrier.

We're screwed.

don trust most CS said, sometimes they also not updated with celcom latest info.

You're lucky.!! previously I've tried activating facetime on my 3GS but also fails.
btw, are u using the micro sim provided from Celcom or u cut the normal sim?

you're most probably right, but what I'm asking is for them is to at least log my report and promise to look into that matter. Not just simply shoot me down.

Then we can tether our celcom from itunes. currently my setting suddently disappear when i connect to itunes and activate the tethering setting.

before this im using celcom prepaid and i cut the normal xpax sim to microsim. last 2 months i convert to postpaid (facetime eat my credit) and using new microsim provided by celcom. both can activate my facetime.

Previously I also managed to activate facetime on 3GS, but until one day I switched the SIM card to Maxis it all screwed up.. Now change back SIM card to celcom, facetime stuck at 'Waiting for activation.. '

how can i3gs can use face time without jb de.
wat kind app is it.
