yeah i using DIGI Set and using Celcom Micro Sim. Before update to OS 4.2 i able to activate my face time. Now can't. I will try to activate it again once i back to KL this Sunday. This is because last time i activate it while connecting to WIFI. Beside, when we turn on the Face time will have a POP up message and said " Your operator might charge you sms bla bla bla.... to activate face time". So you just activate it. Wait for 15 min. If fail again, go restart your phone and re-do it again. So you try it again... Remember let me know your result ya. Now i at my home town... no WIFI and reception is not that good.

I'm using UK set with celcom microsim. Does it make a difference? Don't tell me that only local set can't facetime

i also cant activate facetime on Celcom Carrier...any pro can help!!!!

Mine from UK and using normal sim (of course kena potong la). No problem with facetime. But my friend using digi set and using ori micro sim cant activate facetime. So now, it could be bcoz of celcom microsim or local set, i still dunno yet...

as i said before i able to active the face time when stay at IOS4.1. When upgrade to IOS4.2 cant activate my face time. Totally pengsan

So the problem is most probably due to IOS 4.2 or celcom microsim itself. If you guys have any new info, please post in this thread yea...

for me mostly due to IOS4.2. I try it again by monday. If really cant activate the face time. Then i will restore to IOS4.1 and try it again. Will let you all know by tuesday. For me IOS4.2 did not make big changes, in fact make my batteries drain faster. It's only make iPAD have multitasking and others features.

Bro, probably it is a bug in 4.2 or incompatible with Celcom. Is it possible to downgrade to 4.1 and see the result?

Luckily, my friend not upgrade his iphone4 to 4.2 yet, and she read comments here today.

my facetime can activate using both sim, sim cutting and ori microsim.. but my 2nd activation using micro got stuck at first, i restart+on mobile data and try activate again.. its work.. im on 4.1

Well it's a good news if celcom launch ip4 this dec. i'm a loyal custormer since 010 up until now. Jez bought my ip4 last week if i knew celcom will support ip4 for sure i'll wait for it.
about the facetime problem, i think it is bcoz of celcom line. i got 2 ip4, mine "accidentally" upgraded to 4.2.1, my wife is on 4.1. Both cannot activate facetime eventhough i've downgraded my fw back to 4.1 i went to machines, they also cannot do anything. Is it not bcoz of the phone. They switch to maxis sim card and my facetime can be activated after changed back to celcom simcard...well... waiting foreverrrr (
I guess i hav to wait untill celcom officially be ip4 carrier.

afizudin....how did u managed to activate ur facetime??? i've did everything but still hopeless........care sharing ur setting??

Like this really confusing and pengsan. When the in iOS4.1 i able to activate it and try with Mac. When in iOS4.2 could not. Beside, iPad also facing a lot of buy when upgraded to iOS4.2. My friend using ipad and said quite many apps clash and could not open. Quite weird.
