Thanks Bro Bro. I'm planning to reach there early. I'm just concern there's no stock left at klcc because some ppl say so. Just want some confirmation or will be disappointed later :-)

Guys, I just came back from gardens. Good news they said they just restock their 16gb whiCh will be available tmr onwarrds

I was offered either 16 or 32 but in the end took the 32. So u guys don't have to worry about stock for tmr cos sure available in Gardens

Hmm, I got a feeling that Maxis is "controlling" the number of 16GB and 32GB to be sold daily by each centers. Personally, I don't think they have "out of stock" situations, well, not so soon anyway. The last time I went to The Gardens, I saw the Maxis personnel moving to and fro from the registration counter, to a room on the far end of the shop and coming out with the phones. I think they have stocks stashed away in each center's store and not visible to customers.

Think about it... if there is a long queue every morning at every Maxis centers, and from the thread postings above, everywhere is out of stock for the 16GB, don't you think Maxis should have put up a quick notice or at least inform people in queue about the situation earlier, rather than telling them only when the center opens for business? Am sure there would be agitated customers when they get such treatments. And now, postings mentioned that 16GB is available already?

Just curious, did anyone see Maxis personnels carrying boxes of iPhones into the shops at all? Trying to prove my theory...

Of course they're controlling and it's a part of marketing strategy. Besides, the reason why the white iPhone was delayed is that Apple haven't finish the mass production of the black. I wonder if coming in early for the '20 units for lucky birds' only applied to Maxis stores in KL or other state regions as well?

i came this morning n took a queue number. Had some problems with my supplementary line so have to come back at night. Overall finish buying in 20mins. Definately u can purchase outright phone. The staff say can. I suspect Gardens have lots of stock actually. Maybe it's their marketing strategy to keep the craze alive?

Also to control the mysterious number of units that they have so it doesn't run out quick.

With their marketing strategy used right now... sooner or later it's going to be the "boy cried wolf" scenario... whereby customers would never believe that the phones will be out of stock even when Maxis personnels tell the truth that it really has been depleted.

Here's a tip for prepaid users who wants to buy iPhone 4 and enjoy the free 500MB data plan for 12 months.... IF you have previously purchased an iPhone 3Gs with the free 500MB data plan, and at the time of purchase of iPhone 4, your existing free data plan has not lapsed as yet, you WILL NOT be eligible for the additional free 500MB data plan. Maxis don't have the capability to "terminate" your free prepaid data plan and use the new free data plan, nor are they able to extend the duration of the free 500MB data plan. The only way to enjoy this free 500MB data plan is either:
1. Get a new prepaid number and buy the iPhone4 outright, or
2. Wait til your existing free 500MB data plan expires / lapse, and buy your iPhone4 with existing prepaid number (which could be months later, depending on when your existing free data plan was activated).

I dont want go there early in the morning and to be the fifth in the queue like today and be told that 16gb is out of stock

as of 9pm+ there are stocks of 16gb. I saw it with my own eyes ppl buying it. For tmr, don't know whether have but no harm trying. It's worth the wait, just pray harder haha

Can I line up early.. take queue number.. and then purchase two units with Prepaid line?

why are they letting ppl that go at night to buy but do not let ppl that queue up for so long in the morning like us to buy it?
