A couple of hours ago a Blizzard Bluepost was online publishing the patchnotes for the upcoming 1.1. patch. Only twenty minutes later the informations disappeared without a trace.

Nevertheless some people copied the patchnotes. Still they are not official. The “new” patchnotes contain several changes to the officially announced patchnotes that have been published a while ago.




Maps:
- Destructible Rocks have been added to the natural expansions of Desert Oasis, and the center has been narrowed.
- Various ladder maps have been added.


General:
- Ground Units of type Psionic now have vision in the air plane.


Protoss:
- Zealot build time increased from 33 to 38 seconds.
- Zealot warp-in cooldown increased from 23 to 28 seconds.
- Warp Prisms now unload their cargo instantly while in Phasing Mode.
- Chronoboost cooldown increased from 0 to 20 seconds.
- Dark Shrine build time decreased from 100 to 80.
- Dark Shrine cost decreased from 100 minerals 250 gas to 100 minerals 200 gas.
- Carrier cost increased from 350 minerals 250 gas to 400 minerals 250 gas.
- Carriers now spawn with four Interceptors prebuilt.


Terran:
- Reaper build time increased from 40 to 45 seconds.
- Bunker build time increased from 30 to 35 seconds.
- Siege Mode damage decreased from 50 to 35, +15 armored.
- Siege Mode damage upgrades per level changed from +5 to +3, +2 vs. armored.
- Battlecruiser damage vs. ground decreased from 10 to 8.
- Calldown MULE cooldown increased from 0 to 40 seconds.
- Planetary Fortress build time decreased from 50 to 40 seconds.
- 250 mm Cannons research time decreased from 110 to 80 seconds.
- 250 mm Cannons cost decreased from 150 minerals 150 gas to 100 minerals 100 gas.
- 250 mm Cannons may now be used on friendly and neutral structures and units.


Zerg:
- Ultralisk damage decreased from 15, +25 vs. armored to 15, +20 vs. armored.
- Ultralisk Ram attack removed.
- Nydus Worms can now be cancelled and refunded while building.
- Overlord base speed increased to from 0.469 to 0.938.
- Overlord upgraded speed increase from 1.875 to 2.344.
- Overlords can now use Excrete Creep while moving.
- Overlord base speed now decreases from 0.938 to 0.469 while Excrete Creep is active.
- Overlord upgraded speed now decreased from 2.344 to 1.875 while Excrete Creep is active.
- Spawn Larvae energy cost reduced to 20 from 25.


Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug that caused cloaked units to cast shadows.
- Fixed a bug where Larva would sometimes accidently die by walking off cliffs.
- Fixed a bug where a Nuclear Strike target could be hid behind a Lair.
- Fixed a bug that allowed SCVs to construct halted buildings from within Bunkers.
- Fixed a netcode bug that enabled players to warp in Immortals from Warp Gates.
- Fixed a bug that caused Random players to not see their cursor during the loading screen.
- Fixed a bug where Changelings morphed slower while coming into range of enemy units than when dropped from an Overseer over enemy units.


General:
- Improved the functionality of voice chat.
- Manually queued waypoints can now be set to all 5 basic commands.
- Numerous performance and stability improvements.

its kinda unfair zerg can stockpile larvae, toss cant stockpile chrono...
the overload buffs are waaaaay overboard though LOL...
imagine 7 larvae -> 6 hydras 1 overlord spawning creep on em...
perma speed boost!!!
heck they can stockpile up to 30 larvae and make 28perma speed boost hydras with 2overlords LOL

time for DT rushes <3

Big changes for BO and stuff smile.gif Opening NA to SEA players would be a good time. Use SEA to test BOs, and NA to play ladders smile.gif Or vice versa, whichever is preferred smile.gif

hmmm u do know that u can have xxx amount of larvae in ur hatch...
i stockpile my larvaes for mutaling builds (1 time 10+ mutas with 30 lings poping out)?

not to mention zerg can use the minimap spawn larvae technique while toss cant do so with chrono...

the whole "zerg macro is hard" is kinda untrue LOL...
macroing with zerg is kinda ez with all the tools available...
a offrace zerg player like me can produce more units and eco than mainrace zerg players on ladder doh.gif

So who is going to give you enough resources to build 28 hydras at the same time?

Problem is getting enough resources to build 28 hydras, not the speed of building units.

Amend... Haha... I play all races so i know this is a little balance... But i do not agree with the overload speed thing... I do agree this will help bring back the zerg map control in SCBW but maybe it is a little over the top...

I feel zerg needs a little armor damage units and protoss needs more light armored units since marauders are not getting nerf...

and no we can only stock pile 4 chrono which is 4 gate builds (i stockpile 3 as i use 3 gates)...
that's the most we can do...
and we dun have the minimap trick/ smartcasting to help...

same as when 200/200 zerg would stockpile tonnes of larvae and after battle replenish easily...
toss used to be able to come close with storing chrono for the 7-10 gates warpin -> chrono -> warp ins but now its limited by ur nexus count...
u can see lots of toss's builds with the line "store chrono charges"...

if u ask me, 5sec CD for mules and chrono is much better...
since u cant spam it but it wont affect ur builds...

who says zerg is hard to macro really need to read up on all the various tricks...

And the funny thing is they actually increase the cost for carrier.... 4 battle cruiser with yamato gun vs 4 carries, carriers will fall like nothing, and battle cruiser can be repaired. uhh..

during lategame its really ez especially when u have map control...
if u are wondering watch all high lvl zergs and u can see them doing this especially dimaga (to me the best western zerg out there)...

You're able to do that if you're 200/200 maxed. And a good Zerg will have a lot of expansion by the time u hit 200

Guys this arguing is useless... The changes have not been confirm... Blizzard took 6 months to balance WC3 so anything can be change. It is just a game relax... Let just wait till tomorrow.

the pro zergs now shifting towards heavy drone builds and stockpiling for tech switch nowadays...

i tested it out when i get zerg as a random and its a really good build but depends on ur scouting (and knowing ur timings well)...
with overlord's speed boost, its much easier as u can react accordingly...

Zerg with intel is very good to play, since it is a reactive race to play.. I am not sure whether zerg with be accused of being imba or not

player: u better aplogise to me for play <-insert race here->.

I never expect chrono cooldown to be change and it will greatly affect protoss i afaik...

Terran with marauder drops.. that might be the last time you are able to click on ur hatch, nexus or command center(but that can lift). Heard this somewhere and it is so damn true...

tester's macro is kinda good actually from his games (especially game ro32 game1)...
i am ok wit marauder's damage as long as i am able to keep my scouting up for drops etc (and better building placement)...
but i am damn annoyed wit the perma slow as i cant micro and forced to atk move LOL

Here are my comments.

Maps:
- Destructible Rocks have been added to the natural expansions of Desert Oasis, and the center has been narrowed.
- Various ladder maps have been added.


General:
- Ground Units of type Psionic now have vision in the air plane. (Eh what now? Really you wanna do this?)

Protoss:
- Zealot build time increased from 33 to 38 seconds. (Fine but open more to zergling rushes)
- Zealot warp-in cooldown increased from 23 to 28 seconds. (Same as above)
- Warp Prisms now unload their cargo instantly while in Phasing Mode. (Cool idea quite good buff)
- Chronoboost cooldown increased from 0 to 20 seconds. (Undecided)
- Dark Shrine build time decreased from 100 to 80. (Faster DT to punish people without detection)
- Dark Shrine cost decreased from 100 minerals 250 gas to 100 minerals 200 gas. (Same as above)
- Carrier cost increased from 350 minerals 250 gas to 400 minerals 250 gas. (Not sure the point why)
- Carriers now spawn with four Interceptors prebuilt. (Maybe comes with 8 interceptors now with the price increase)


Terran:
- Reaper build time increased from 40 to 45 seconds. (for the Zergs)
- Bunker build time increased from 30 to 35 seconds. (For the Zergs)
- Siege Mode damage decreased from 50 to 35, +15 armored. (On the fence with this because might as well don't change it)
- Siege Mode damage upgrades per level changed from +5 to +3, +2 vs. armored. (Same above)
- Battlecruiser damage vs. ground decreased from 10 to 8. (Totally needed)
- Calldown MULE cooldown increased from 0 to 40 seconds. (Undecided but agree)
- Planetary Fortress build time decreased from 50 to 40 seconds. (Nothing big)
- 250 mm Cannons research time decreased from 110 to 80 seconds. (Nothing big)
- 250 mm Cannons cost decreased from 150 minerals 150 gas to 100 minerals 100 gas.(Nothing big)
- 250 mm Cannons may now be used on friendly and neutral structures and units.(Friendly Fire?)


Zerg:
- Ultralisk damage decreased from 15, +25 vs. armored to 15, +20 vs. armored. (Againts since only ultralisj is the only armor damage unit for zerg)
- Ultralisk Ram attack removed. (Indifferent)
- Nydus Worms can now be cancelled and refunded while building. (Needed)
- Overlord base speed increased to from 0.469 to 0.938. (Seriously?)
- Overlord upgraded speed increase from 1.875 to 2.344. (No Seriously?)
- Overlords can now use Excrete Creep while moving. (Good addition)
- Overlord base speed now decreases from 0.938 to 0.469 while Excrete Creep is active. (Wait is this a joke?)
- Overlord upgraded speed now decreased from 2.344 to 1.875 while Excrete Creep is active. (It is right?)
- Spawn Larvae energy cost reduced to 20 from 25. (Great for expending creep)

Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug that caused cloaked units to cast shadows. (Notice this long time ago)
- Fixed a bug where Larva would sometimes accidently die by walking off cliffs. (Who build a hatchary around the ledge?)
- Fixed a bug where a Nuclear Strike target could be hid behind a Lair. (I didnt notice this)
- Fixed a bug that allowed SCVs to construct halted buildings from within Bunkers. (Please fix this)
- Fixed a netcode bug that enabled players to warp in Immortals from Warp Gates. (Permaban these users)
- Fixed a bug that caused Random players to not see their cursor during the loading screen. (Indifferent)
- Fixed a bug where Changelings morphed slower while coming into range of enemy units than when dropped from an Overseer over enemy units. (Indifferent)


General:
- Improved the functionality of voice chat. (Please do)
- Manually queued waypoints can now be set to all 5 basic commands.
- Numerous performance and stability improvements.

From my view here is the summary.

Protoss has got the worst nerf of all races. This means that they are promoting more stealth attacking with the reduce price for DT and the warp prism instant unload function. They will suffer more from zergling rushes since they take longer to produce zealots.

Terran i feel i a unnecessary nerf... Tanks are doing good but what is the point when Marauder are rolling over every land armor units. There wont be any for tanks to kill.

Zergs buff are aiming for a better creep extending method. The ultralisk buff is minor but still damaging because armor units are so going to own zerg (Marauders im looking at you). I do not like the overlord speed increase and hope that it is really a joke. I rather have reduce upgrade time from hive then this.

Mule is way too strong i think, and implementing the 40 seconds cool down does not make it weak, it need 50 energy to call down a mule(yes/no?), just do it frequently, like zerg, they cant create larvae few times on a single hatchery.

Comparing mule and queen's create larvae, i think mule got more benefits, mule can mine mineral, scout area, fast repair unit in battle, they are like cheap advanced SCV that can be called down anytime anywhere, the nerf try to prevent any amount.

As for protoss' chrono, i think its pretty strong too, u can speed production, speed research(which i think no other race can do research as fast as protoss with crono)

darkplacid, i do not agree with you about the overlord mobility, i think with the overlord mobility increase we can see more and more overlord being used, they no longer stuck in base. Zerg might no longer need to scout with drone, with the double starting overlord speed, you can scout with overlord, and chances of getting it killed way much lower.

I think a queen/stalker/marine no longer able to kill an overlord who trying to run for its life. With the double speed, overlord can be spread across the map for more vision, nydus can make use of the vision, surprise attack/far expansion. Overlords also can create diversion, imaging you see 10 overlords flying into your base, with their increased starting speed, they can be used straight away.

You all got me wrong... I just feel the speed is too fast... There is that concept but overlord abuse can be used early to deny expansion early game...

I am i zerg player also and i think this is a little over... Amagine starting by playing overlord in your opponent natural expansion leaking creep...

This is for balance not to buff zerg... Maybe increasing it only a little... not just give it a free upgrade...

by the time u can put creep in your enemy' base, you already got a Lair, not hatchery, and if your enemy still dont have something to shoot them, then they dont deserve to expand.

Haiyo. Why do they have to include a cool down for chrono boost. I usually stock up my chrono boost for zealot rush and now, between 3 zealots there will be 1 minute gap in between that's chronoless.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty patch 1.1.0 is now live! This patch features adjustments to protoss, terran, and zerg balance, notable StarCraft II Editor improvements, and several bug fixes. Be sure to check out the full patch notes below to learn all about the latest changes.



General:

• The Standard (US) and Standard for Lefties (US) hotkey configurations are now available in all regions.

• A new game clock has been added. Players can now instantly see how long they’ve been in their current mission or match. This feature can be turned on or off in the Gameplay Options menu.

• A new Quick Save option is now available for the single-player campaign. Players can now quickly save their mission progress by pressing Ctrl + Q.

• A new System Panel has been added. Players can now view their local time and FPS while in game by mousing over the Menu (F10) button in the upper-left hand corner of the game screen. Laptop users can also view Wi-Fi signal strength and battery levels.

Balance Changes:

• PROTOSS

• Zealot

• Build time increased from 33 to 38.

• Warp Gate cooldown increased from 23 to 28.



• TERRAN

• Battlecruiser

• Ground damage decreased from 10 to 8.

• Bunker

• Build time increased from 30 to 35.

• Reaper

• Build time increased from 40 to 45.

• Siege Tank

• Siege mode damage changed from 50 to 35 (+15 armored).

• Upgrade damage changed from +5 to +3 (+2 armored).

• ZERG

• Ultralisk

• Ram ability removed. Ultralisk will now use normal attack against buildings.

• Damage decreased from 15 (+25 armored) to 15 (+20 armored).

• Maps

• Desert Oasis

• Destructible Rocks have been added to make natural expansions easier to protect.

• Center Xel'Naga Tower area has been narrowed.



StarCraft II Editor Improvements:

• Added new requirement types: Odd, Divide, Mod, Multiply.

• Added a chance field to effect data.

• Added support for the Slider dialog control type.

• Added a trigger to deal damage from a unit.

• Added a trigger event response to provide the amount a player or unit property changes.

• Added a trigger event when an effect executes.

• New Trigger Editor functions:

• Save Data Conversation State Value (Action).

• Load Data Conversation State Value (Action).

• Players On Team (returns Player Group associated with teams in game lobby).

• Unit Owner Changes (Event).

• Old Unit Owner (returns player ID in response to Unit Owner Changes).

• New Unit Owner (returns player ID in response to Unit Owner Changes).

• XP, Level, and Bounty unit properties can now be modified by triggers.

• Banks now save/restore XP, learned abilities, and items.

• Message Window now includes a time stamp for each message.

• An actor event is now dispatched when a missile cannot hit its target.

• When loading documents with Battle.net-only dependencies, you will now be prompted to log in and download the dependency data, rather than failing to load.

• Game variants now automatically use the default melee variants for new maps, without requiring manual generation. This will not take effect for maps created prior to this patch.

• The Custom game variant is no longer automatically included when other non-default variants are defined.

• Increased the maximum recharge vital rate for heal effects.



Bug Fixes:

• Battle.net

• Chat windows no longer vanish when exiting a multiplayer map or campaign mission.

• Fixed an issue where players would still receive toasts when their status was set to busy.

• Custom Games

• Default race in a game lobby is now properly set to Random.

• Players can now configure the lobby for 1v5 matches.

• The search functionality for map searches has been improved.

• Lobby hosts will now receive a toast when an invited player declines an invitation.

• Custom game lobbies will now remember the game mode chosen under a category.

• Fixed an issue where changing the category to "Custom" would default the teams to 5v3.

• Fixed an issue where custom maps could not be reported from the map preview screen.

• If a unit loads into a transport, missiles targeting it will no longer target similar units in the area.

• Structures damaged during construction will no longer count towards structures lost.

• Fixed an issue where builders waiting for an area to clear could block units trying to leave the area.

• Fixed an issue with inventory drop range checks.

• Fixed an issue that, in certain cases, allowed a command to be issued that did not appear on the command card.

• Interface

• Queue tooltips now display information about what is in progress.

• Fixed an issue where the back button would not always return players to the score screen properly.

• Marines trained at multiple Barracks will now prefer a Barracks with a Reactor over one with a Tech Lab or no attachment.

• SCVs will now load into the closest Command Center if multiple are within range.

• Zerg

• Creep now recedes properly when an AI-controlled Hatchery, Lair, or Hive is destroyed.

• StarCraft II Editor

• The Player Leaves Game event now fires when a player leaves or they are defeated/victorious.

• Loading screen progress bar option now works when using Melee loading screen type.

• Test Document now works properly on maps with Battle.net-only dependencies.

• Publishing a new file using Major revision will now properly set the document version to 1.0.

• Publish dialog now properly remembers the Show Real Name setting from previous publish.

• File preview panel now displays author's real name if that option was set during publishing.

• The Import module will now allow importing an override Assets.txt file.

• Undoing a terrain object modification will now also undo associated terrain changes.

• Editor will display document text from another locale if no text for the active locale exists.

• Copying points with custom models will display the model properly on the pasted point.

• It is no longer possible to have multiple default variants in the Game Variants dialog.

look back at WoW or war3, patch days woes arent are getting better and better comparing back then until this very day. in fact, so far nothing is happening for US patch yet from the brief moment/games ive played.

and with that said, id much rather get patches ASAP especially when they are major ones implementing MANY fixes/balance changes

early scout, see 6/7 pool, get ur damn 10 gate out + chrono for the first 1-2 zealot + choke point funnel. can be done, just harder.

not to mention the time needed for u to def ur base from lings LOL...

do note VR builds are not all in but rather harassment and if u are a bad zerg, u just die on the spot LOL...
pretty much the same as a speedling run-by (so is speedling a cheese now?)...

forge cannon contain would not be a good idea due to the risks involve (need to spawn close position)...
1 queen spreading creep + 1 spine crawler is all u need to break the 2 pylons...
a zerg can just go 1 base tech like 1base muta rush and jz roll u over...

Balance Changes:

• PROTOSS

• Zealot

• Build time increased from 33 to 38.
• Warp Gate cooldown increased from 23 to 28.


• TERRAN

• Battlecruiser

• Ground damage decreased from 10 to 8.

• Bunker

• Build time increased from 30 to 35.

• Reaper

• Build time increased from 40 to 45.

yeah, the winning point is get to know what ur opponent doing, normally like toss doing 1 rax, i will pump up my marine to avoid VR rush, or 3 rax, i will plant 3 bunker at my gate.

i think 3 is overkill O.o
i usually go 1-2 bunkers with a scv for standby repairs...
i spend lots of my resource on tonnes of marines and stim early on...

then again, 5rax reaper and u dun need to worry bout this thumbup.gif

hmm reaper kills building super fast...
at times jz go in, 1-2 bomb down the spine crawler...
get the speed upgrade and micro em...
they can kite roaches with ease as long as u have the speed upgrade (he wont get his roach speed in time with the lair)...
nothing beats getting up to 20+ reapers and 2-3shotting buildings in zerg's base =p

it allow easy transition to marauders as well to kill those roaches or even tanks with the addons...

the main purpose of the 5 rax reaper was to prevent zerg from fast expanding, and forcing him to build units that you can kite away.
after that you fast expand with you excess minerals and start building your BIO ball with your 5 rax.

killing off the Zerg is just icing on the cake.

last nite i kited 20+ chargelots with like a 20food army of MM with stimmed 3 full circles around his base...
the army finally died after having too little hp to stim =(
but by then, i got like 50 food of MM waiting in my base n jz roll him again LOL

I hardly ever 12 Gate these days... 8 Pylon 10 Gate and 11 Gate (Or Assimilator) for early rushes. Unless the map is big enough, I'll do the conventional way.

Just block with whatever big buildings you have and snipe from the back. It's so much easier with Terran as compared to Protoss.

its not a fair comparison, every unit got their advantages and weakness, u cant say its useless cause there are many scenarios that they are weak. I am saying they got their usage, you can use them in some scenario, which in this case, they are good at attacking base, where their splash damage area depends on what they are attacking, the larger the unit they attack, the bigger splash damage area they can do.

And about marauders, they need to stay away from building to make them safe, ultralisk can simply attack a building that is between the marauders and the ultralisk to hurt them, kite might no longer work, ultralisk can just run behind a building and attack the building, if marauder chase the ultralisk, the ultralisk just need to attack the building and it will deal damage to all marauders that getting in the range of 2 of the building. im not sure if it still works if the ultralisk doing friendly attack on its own building, if it works, then the tactic can be widely used. Must be fun to see zealots getting killed by an ultralisk who attacking its own lair.

they both do extra damage on armored unit, marauders was the winner due to they have the range advantage, and they can kite ultralisk easily, if the fight happens in a base, the result is yet to be determined, the ultralisk might have some advantage in extending their range, not sure if the ultralisk now able to kite marauders in terran's base or not.

That is the point... Too many choke infront of base hard to defend with a group of zerglings...

I little micro can help with viking maybe selecting only 6 to focus fire and the rest spread the damage... With their range they can counter almost every air unit...

In warcraft 3 and many other games, older replays get unsupported when new patches are released, so yeah its a very valid question. And i'm at work so i can't test it myself.

I had this same shit when I had a fresh installation.
Now I'm facing it again damn.

Edit: The downloads are not smooth, my theory is that you are downloading from lobby hosts so if no games are hosted then it'll get stuck. Stupid map system, why can't they stick to the hassle free like from WC3's?
Reminds me of Apple and their oh-you-must-use-itunes-to-copy shit.

Cheap tactic: when there's a building beside you dont fight ultra AS THE SPLASH WILL DESTROY YOU

I wanna go US server and loose all my game so I dont have to worry about winning rate anymore so that I cant get distracted by WLR anymore

i re-copy the folder of Blizzard taken from other website and override it in the current Blizzard folder hoping to get back those maps...total failure, now, 1 v 1 maps no problem except 2v2 maps...hectic downloads:(

Says "Error in loading map" or something along that line.

ok here I also face same problem like you all.
Now I found a easier solution for it.
When I login SEA region, I try so many time it keep fail on downloading the content. Now I change region to NA, it download and finisih very fast, now with this , I able to play in either SEA or NA. so I suspect IAH server not as good as US server that why it keep drop when we downloading the map.
Hope that this can help you all.

IAH dunno have knowledge ppl to setup server and maintenace it?
dunno why NA can work well than this.
After a few game, I feel that NA server quite well, I not feel any lag at there.
IAH one most of the time when game start, we issue worker, it mostly delay at that time but I not facing delay on NA when game start.

After just 1 game on US server, i'd dare say we're paying more for a crappy server in SG, the US region load menus, profiles, logins, etc WAY faster than SEA server. I've played 1 game agaisnt a US player and there was NO lag, surprisingly. IAH said we're paying more and other regions cause a server is made in SG so that we get smooth connection, what a load of crap

Is that when we start launching the game, it only show login screen? the left side dun show region at all, we have to login then logout ,it only appear the region button?

That's cause you have your SC2 remembered your account, so you go straight into the screen with your email and password entry, just click the crooked arrow beside your email to go back 1 step and you'll see the region button appear on your left

Hey, any of you guys faced massive fps drops during the menu when the battlecruiser appears? Mind facing it after patching to 1.1, previous patch doesn't have any problem.

My comp spec is E6300 1.86ghz, 8800gts and 2gb ram.

EDIT: Problem seems to be go on and off, after i relogged in few times, no more problem, not sure about next time tho.

Means sc2 is downloading in the background. The downloading wont end as SEA servers is crappy. As before, go to NA server and complete all the new downloading then return to SEA.

I read that you were having problems getting on to the NA server?
You have to go to your bnet account to add the NA region of the game to your account.
It is free as stated there. So don't worry about any additional charges.
