Yes we root and install custom rom cuz of tweaks, deodexed and some other features the dev offered.

and yes you can root and use the stock rom, but you wont be able to flash custom icons on notification bars and such cuz the stock rom are odexed. but you can access paid markets, make a nandroid backup and others that a non-rooted phone could do. Tweaks? you mean? in terms of customization, you're limited. in term of perfomance, i'm not sure cuz you need to flash kernels and stuffs, i dont know...mostly people just flash an undervolted custom rom made by devs edy.

Nandroid backup is a must cause it serves as a restore point in case u screwed up.
There are also other steps required, the most common is full wipe (SD/cache/dalvik). Some of them require ext partition too.

Just remember to check the requirements of each ROM

Move to the dark side - root and flash custom rom like AuraxTSense. Battery life will improve a lot. Anyway, new phone battery will take some time to ''burn in''.

Yup, absolutely. Anything on whatever you gonna do using the recovery(flashing zips especially), need to nandroid first. I prefer 2 weeks per backup, as I'll have trauma if my stuffs(especially sms's and call logs), and thats if i didnt flash a new rom in those times. the longest i can hold from flashing a rom is 1 month...lolz...tongue.gif

both have their own pros and cons,
just based on user personal preference,

if you're going to buy a new one, you'll only get slcd set
if you want amoled set then you'll have to get 2nd hand

hi there...

back focus means the focus is not accurate... for example...

Imagine this is a picture:

A
.
.
.
.
B
.
.
.
.
C

when u touch point "B" to focus, the B is not focused but blur, but A is clear.... or when u touch C to focus but B or A becomes clear...

the effect is usually more pronounce if u r shooting macro shot... so to test it... u can actually use a paper with words, then touch to focus the letter in it... then wait for focus confirmation tone, then take pic using the trackball button. then u go n see which row of letter is more in focus... the one that u touch or the more upper or lower point than u touch... u should lay the paper on a table, and the camera should be perpendicular, not parralel with the paper, so tat there will be a distance difference between each row....
