but now i am thinking should i put this money into X100 or xpro1...
other than xpro1 is interchangeable, any pro and cons from choosing this two camera? really like the 35mm 1.4 lens
wonder izit worth getting a second hand 1 year old x100 around 2.3k?

all fuji sifu, i currently being poisoned by IT fair yesterday in midvalley using fuji xpro1 and x100, and i would like to get one for street photography...wonder which has better price to performance ratio...(thinking of dumping GF3 and grab one of these)

one thing i notice on x100 is the aperture blade then to be sticky (heard lot of ppl complain bout it) and does it affect performance when in like burst mode?
just want some suggestion to help my decision on x100 or the more expensive xpro1, and i prefer optical viewfinder so not considering the XE-1...thanks by the way
*
I've been using the x100 for a week now and the blades doesn't feel sticky to me even when I stop down to f 16. I've used the burst mode for a bit and I don't have a problem with the aperture blades, but the saving time is ridiculously slow though. I 'upgraded' from the x10 which saves the pictures really fast and I'm already using Sandisk Ultra.

But you know, with all the manual control directly accessible without having to go into any menus. I don't use burst anymore, I don't even use bracketing. It's all manual now. Set the aperture, set the shutter speed, look at the EV meter snap, move on.

hmm, i notice that the writing speed quite slow and quite bother me...especially using higher iso setting...but i really like the manual mode of the camera

and another thing i worry is shutter count...does it really a thing to care? erm since it is using leaf shutter instead of moving auto reflex shutter mirror in DSLR, shutter count is something to be care of when buying 2nd hand x100?

hope this should clear my mind on x100 and get one soon...dunno will eventually get the xpro1...tamak..

Sticky aperture blades affected the earlier X100's where the blades would stick and not close properly causing overexposure at smaller apertures. Doesn't have anything to do with burst mode.

As for the saving times. The SD cards should be formatted in camera and the slider should be locked before inserting it into any card reader as anything written on the cards will slow down the read times. But for some reason even with the SD cards locked, sticking it into a Mac causes the cards to slow down as well requiring it to be reformatted again. Also, using the fastest cards possible helps also.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips. Yup, I reformatted it in the x100 after taking it out of the x10, but it's still much slow and subjectively, it feels slow. And my card is a Sandisk Ultra so I don't think the card is a problem, especially comparing with the x10 and a standard memory stick on the H50. The x100 is a slow camera.

Oh and I shoot only in jpeg

lamjunrong, if you can afford the XPro1 just go for it. The versatility to change lens is one of the big advantage it have over the X100. X100 for me is for people who looking for simplicity. One great thing I love about it when I bring it outside with me, I don't have to think what lens I need to bring. Just think what you want to shoot on that particular day smile.gif
