Golly. Can't understand how the pricing goes in KL. Got mine from the DIGI centre at Low Yat 4 weeks ago for 3200 with 8GB SD and case (non-leather). Have been shooting like crazy back in London and been neglecting my 7D. Good luck to all you future potential x100 owners!

Yeah, definitely some pricing differences... Got mine from Boeing Photo in Empire. RM3.6k with original leather case and 8gb card. Unfortunately only Class 4. Now looking for a SanDisk Extreme Pro 8gb...

X-Pro1 doesn't have any built in flash.... Hmmm.....

Prices rumoured to be USD1.3-1.5k with one lens.

the built in flash on the x100 is soooo damn good as a fill flash!
*
Yeah. My thoughts exactly. I supposed Fuji modeled the X-P1 on the M9. No flash there either. Would have been nice if they had a small built in one to complement the hotshoe.

The X100 Special Edition in black looks very tempting though....

I love my X100!!! The full manual controls are wonderful and make the process of shooting itself such a joy. You do need to take your time though... which can only be a good thing.

The only thing I wish it had was a button I can press to set it to full auto so that someone else can use the camera to take a snapshot. Too complicating for most people to just pick up and shoot. Difficult to get someone to shoot a proper picture of myself with my own camera!!! biggrin.gif

Thanks guys. Love the Fuji colors!

Hope they release a firmware update to combine the Auto ISO with the manual ISO controls. It's such a pain now to have to access separate menu items for each one.

Products
1 x JJC LH-JX100 (Replacing Fujifilm LH-X100) Lens Hood with Adapter Ring for the X100 Camera (Silver) (# Hood/Adapter Ring All-Metal Construction) RM138.00

i bought from shashinki.com and i don't really recommend because the lens hood loose after about 3 months used but the adapter ring is working perfect.

btw, the hood block the flash.

Give the slots on the hood a squeeze and it'll fit nice and tight.

Went out last night to take some pics of the moon. It was a lovely orange color...

Also got a great pic demonstrating the X100's high ISO capabilities... 1/15s, f2.0, ISO3200. Nice color rendition at high ISO.

Anyone have the sticky aperture blades problem? How long does it take to service it via FujiFilm. The camera is amazing but this manufacturing defect is a big turn off.
I think this issue is only prevalent in the earlier models...... like mine..... fingers crossed..... shocking.gif

Don't quite understand this part. Why optical viewfinder lousy in low light when its just reflected light?  unsure.gif

I think bcos the OVF depends on ambient light and in low light situations it may be difficult to view the scene whereas the EVF will gain up in low light making it easier to view the scene.

I think....

Great pics, liked your blog post. I just got my replacement today, and can't wait to do some shooting by the weekend. I liked that spiraling slide pics of yours.

Thanks. Good to hear you got your X100 back. Hope the SAB problem doesn't strike my camera. Will try to post more pics when I have something worthy of posting.
