hi hulahup,

channa orientalis.. hmm.. gotto hunt around. origin from Sri Lanka if not mistaken.

will update here after i check. smile.gif

btw, anyone into c.aurantimaculata? very colourful and nice fish though..

some german hobbyist manage to breed them.. numbers of fries is indeed crazy.. according to my research (many said these species required low temp to keep succesfully and stimulate breeding).

try google around. i remember i saw somewhere sometime ago..

Yeah Sri Lankan one.Auranti is indeed a beauty but then again it's subtropical and grow quite large. I don't think i can provide them a good home.

IMO keeping a 40cm species in a 2 footer is a sin  tongue.gif
I don't have space for bigger tank actually  sad.gif

I don't know the shop name it's beside darson electronic and the one that sell on the side road
under the tree. And when i said sometimes i meant it rarely. The price depend, if many then cheap.
Usually around rm15-35.Sometime they also have weird snakehead name e.g haruan harimau laugh.gif

Hi Alcip,

Channa bleheri is totally easy to find. Usual price is RM40-45. Not sure about pudu.
2ft. is way enough as this speceis dont grow large. Eating wise, okay!

Hope this helps! cheers! biggrin.gif

Hi guys. Got questions to ask.

I'm keeping this creature at this moment:-

user posted image

..and now after a few months, it starts to lose their stripes and the colors of the stripes are fading away. Is it normal?
