Will try to go there and hunt then.under the tree. And when i said sometimes i meant it rarely. The price depend, if many then cheap. Usually around rm15-35.Sometime they also have weird snakehead name e.g haruan harimau |

QUOTE(beer8bottles @ May 23 2012, 12:23 PM) Hi, perhaps you could try Rio 32HF. Been reading good things about this brand. Can contact a seller in Lelong, he may not advertise this size, but you can try asking. Apart from that, seen Batu Karang Laut in Subang selling this brand. I inquired for the smaller ones. |

QUOTE(beer8bottles @ May 29 2012, 11:49 PM) Hey, thank you so much for the offer. Great looking tank. Did you ask what kind of wood they used?Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the tank: It's under the porch. Will have to wait till October when the house is done being renovated Time to go searching for all the other stuffs. To the batmobile! You mentioned the previous owner used it, but for how long has it been dried? And waiting till October, you can call me paranoid, but am worried the silicone may dry up as well. |

QUOTE(beer8bottles @ May 30 2012, 11:02 AM) The previous owner said it was lasak wood, which is stronger than Nyatoh. There are also 2 different types of silicone. But nvm, we can leave that for next time. It's been dry for a month or two but the silicone still looks really good. He refilled the tank about 5 days ago to test for leaking. It was drained on the 28th of May. Jules and Yeobster, Thank you for the advise. I'll fill it up as soon as possible. Do I need to fill it up to the top, or is half filled good enough? I'd try to fill it up as I would for normal fishkeeping. But please remember to throw in some longkang fishes or guppies inside. You won't want to get fined by the authorities if mosquitoes decide to breed there. |

QUOTE(Yeobster @ May 30 2012, 11:56 AM) btw...IMO your wooden cabinet is strong enough to hold your tank...no need metal stucture..but if u put them in it would be extra. my 6footer only stand on 2" wooden frame. Yeobster, I think I've seen your nick in other forums, MYAC? I'm also actually looking to put stand or just bricks to support my incoming FGT. I was advised not to put wood as it'll rot. But metal stands, I also worry about rust. |

QUOTE(genielee_83 @ Jun 2 2012, 03:33 PM) the must have kelah is what? Must have? I feel it depends on your preference really. For the characteristics of the different colours are different as well, ie. body shape, head shape. In the market I believe the the kelah merah/ kelah bara has always been sought after. Then there's the blue kelah which Yeobster's mentioned. And also, there's also gold mahseer, which i think are from India.cant get their care sheet. whats the pond specs? food and such. and also cost About care, pretty much like what Yeobster has stated, clear clean water. Watch out for chlorine level and keep the water alkaline. Added on June 2, 2012, 8:08 pm QUOTE(LuQEE @ Jun 2 2012, 06:47 PM) so kelah is masheer right? Yeap, kelah = mahseerso which one is the cheapest to most expensive? kelah merah kelah bara kelah biru kelah hijau i really like them, but their price and the needed size for them to live.. still cant afford them Cheapest to most expensive, with 1) being cheapest 1)kelah hijau 2) kelah merah 3) kelah biru 4) kelah bara 1) and 2) are basically the same, red mahseer. differentiation being the river streams they come from. so why the difference in item 1) and 2) pricing. well, i may be wrong, but most lfs won't carry the kelah bara. and the kelah merah u get from lfs, may never be like a kelah bara. again, i could be wrong.
