Hi guys. Got questions to ask.

I'm keeping this creature at this moment:-

..and now after a few months, it starts to lose their stripes and the colors of the stripes are fading away. Is it normal?

Genie..
The best bet for your Oscar are the bichirs...but make sure you feed him well..as the Oscar is a fast eater and the bichir a slow eater.
But it'd be better to leave the Oscar alone..as it'll grow big and need the space and Oscar can be nasty when they're big.
But if you really want to have a Channa, get rid of the Oscar and get yourself a Toman Bunga (Channa marulioides). It's a tropical channa and more beautiful than micropeltes,IMHO...

Luqee,
Bleheri is not that expensive, you can get it at around RM20-40/tail,depend on quality and availability..

Thanks

So quiet lately...
I'm bored with my oscars..3 days ago,I introduced a toman bunga (channa marulioides) into the tank.Oscars are 4-8 inches long and toman is about 6 inches long.
For the first 2 hours, there were loads of bickering and biting between them, but now everybody is friend friend already hehe...Toman is eating well too (including pellets)..hehe..
Thanks

With oscars, size matters...I learnt through mistake as once my gar ended up in oscar's mouth.
The gar was about 4inch long...
I'm pleased that the bunga sapu the pellet...hehe..

Milo,
you can get them at the LFS around Sungai Buloh (old airport way).
Each cost around RM200 - RM300.
But depends on the availability and quality..
Thanks
