It's inconvenient to take a charger. And not every location is a charger-friendly area.

andrew there is some ppl expect u always can get power connection all the time...
and those ppl that never really intensively use the connectivity they will never know how fast u can drain the juice... i heard of some ppl need to charge twice a day to get a high end smartphone running thru out the day... sweat.gif that is really maximum utilization...

it is the FACT that they should put more mAh on the battery of desire Z and HD... a lot ppl is asking for that especially working class which run around outside the office a lot... even older SE X10 has 1500mAh battery but surprisingly the Desire family does not have it...

making the capacity = heavier and thicker and those two arent really good points for a phone

and considering its already heavy due to the aluminium body.. i think this phone is just right..

and all smartphones have battery problem..want something that last longer go get an old yellow and black screen phone

Car charger? You always have your car around, don't you?

Agreed.

I would also like to add this: those people who were complaining about their batteries only lasting 16 hours on heavy use ... how long are you awake anyway? A waking day is approximately 12 hours ... maybe you work a 9-5 job, that's 8 hours at work, then another 8 hours takes you to 1am. Are you awake for 24 hours? 16 hours is pretty damn impressive already!

you get home ... you put it on charge lah!

I don't bring my car when I'm on the LRT, riding a boat, cycling, going swimming, camping, etc.

Anyway the point is, battery life is an issue to some people, even though other people don't mind charging frequently.

The screen is a big factor in decision-making when buying a touchscreen smartphone. It's the main way you interact with the phone.
It's not Samsung's fault. It's HTC's fault for relying too much on Samsung and not knowing how to innovate in screen technology. Apple doesn't use S-AMOLED but came up with its own unique IPS screen.

lol, apple didnt make their own screen, they are using LG. if lg dont provide them the ips, apple is going to die.

yeah, so go back to the old bricks if you want a durable, long battery life phone. Honestly.
However, I am also aware that there will always be people unhappy with whatever aspect of a phone, no matter how unreasonable it is.

why the battery issue are still round n round here??

the Desire itself have 1400mAH battery which is better than this newer DesireZ, the samsung wave have such a slim n small body have 1500mAH battery.... Bold II have so much smaller size indeed have 1500mAH too...

and a lot more...

all those are smart phone can complete the job like DesireZ.... and again this is an open forum ppl are welcome to discuss or share good n bad about the phone.. it will be very good if HTC design the compartment of the phone slightly bigger and make it able to slot in a battery with 1800mAH or 2000mAH...

cannot accept the bad comment which is a fact to the phone and ask ppl to get other phone which simply sound like an ifag.. fanboy-ism..

It doesn't help manufacturer to improve if everyone like that...

I don't think it's that we don't accept bad comments ... but make the comments reasonable. 16 hours on a smartphone that syncs emails, fb, twitter, wifi, gps and bluetooth, bad? Really? Even the mac airs don't last that long, and they run on ipod hard-drives!!

Otherwise, negative points of the phone by all means!

my point there is ... if the battery can make a bit bigger isn't that good? 1800mAH maybe... and it can stretch it to maybe 24 hours... that is more than welcome.. maybe not for u...

u ON ur Wifi/GPS/bluetooth all the time? u sure your phone can last 16 hours with all that ON?? if not try not to give those mislead info....

there are a lot more phone wt the same function can last well more than 16hours.. more than 24hours.. or even more... not those "brick" u talking about....
