also the keyboard and LCD are very close, so if you press on top of the backcover it might touch the keyboard and leave mark on LCD. maybe you can put soft cloth in between.

Hi, Just want to ask, the battery for m11x is build-in? meaning to say it cannot be remove and would it affect the lifespan of the battery? Thanks in advance.

It is build-in, you can remove it, but you need to open the bottom case to do so..

Not using M11x, mostly left it inside the notebook since it would be troublesome to take it out and plug it back..

Well we still have to wait for the results of the card and the feedback. I checked that the GTX 460M, GTX 470M, GTX 260M and the ATI 5870 uses the same amount of power at 72-75watts with the 470,5870 and 260M using 75Watts. So if the 470M comes in the MXM 3.0 slot size then we might even see that coming to the M15x. Next up will be news for the M17x owners smile.gif

p:s If I get this GTX 4** Card I'll have 3 GPUs for my 1 M15x... jeez....

well, battery have thier discharge problem. i teach u how to prolong ur battery life

same applied to all Dell laptop

nowadays, most of the laptop come with automatic from DC to AC switch in the bios d, once ur battery is full, ur battery wont be charge anymore.
As for m11x, most of the time u gaming, pls plug in try not to use up ur battery.
If u are going out for mc donald and plan to serve net there, just use it. but when u are going back d, but u can finish use up ur battery? how? plug in ur ac adaptor even though u just used up 10%.
the more u use ur battery, the fastest the battery drain up. no metter how, plug in even u used 1% of ur battery.

For those concept u guys heard in the past, pls remove battery that u are using AC (nomore this concept)

Guys,

I have some questions. I finally get a win 7 installer to format my m17x and it was fine till yesterday, when it gets into window, it shut off it self and brought up blue scree. This happen for a few times and I had to run safe mode and do some recovery. Then it became okay till this morning when I shut it off, things went okay, screen shut after the shutting down sound . . but the key board light still on and PC running sound can be still heard means it is not shutting down that last for hours now and it is still running. doh.gif What's wrong with my m17x ? Do I need to format it again ? And also one more thing is how to reinstall all the FX stuff and Alienware theme. Is that all from the purple driver and utilities CD ?

yeah, I went back to using Aero theme, cause the Alienguise theme is giving me probs with AutoCad 2010.

While using the Alienguise theme, resizing AutoCad's window will cause it to crash..no idea why. Tried repairing it over and over thinking it was AutoCad's problem, mana tau when I changed theme everything is working fine. Minus the cool Alien head start button  la yawn.gif plus it gived me back 100mb of ram haha
