putochip123, can we say the same thing about the RAM itself? I mean that is it better to purchase RAM not from Dell? I want to know the best time to purchase 1 stick of 4 GB RAM in my M15x ( the time when it is cheapest).

So, you are able to provide free computer part installation to us? Thanks, that is so sweet of you.

Thanks for the advice given.

I do have the same problem of having "invalid" service tag and am wondering when it will be activated. Well, to contact technical support via e-mail (I want to report my service tag problem), you need to input your service tag. Then again, with the "invalid" service tag, I can't do so. So, I am stuck with no way to contact Dell regarding this matter. rclxub.gif

Plus, I need the service tag to download drivers relevant to my system. cry.gif

yeah, I went back to using Aero theme, cause the Alienguise theme is giving me probs with AutoCad 2010.

While using the Alienguise theme, resizing AutoCad's window will cause it to crash..no idea why. Tried repairing it over and over thinking it was AutoCad's problem, mana tau when I changed theme everything is working fine. Minus the cool Alien head start button la yawn.gif plus it gived me back 100mb of ram haha

Thanks, guys, for the advice. I will just have to wait patiently for it to be activated.

That is weird. Well, I have 2-year-old Dell desktop which its warranty has already expired. Then again, I can use its service tag to download relevant drivers and obtain its computer specification. Of course, I can even use it to contact Dell Technical Support. However, I would have to make payment first before I am eligible for any part replacement. cry.gif

I would like to use Alienguise theme, but it disables, instead of enhancing, Aero Theme. I mean that with Alienguise theme enabled, some part of Aero theme, like taskbar preview (preview that pops up when you hover your mouse pointer over any program in Taskbar) is dsabled. If someone can suggest a workaround to this, i would probably use back Alienguise theme. tongue.gif

YUp, 3rd party SSD perform better than dell SSD ^^ with high IOPS(random access), if it is hard for u to be done, bring it for me, i can free install for u ^^.

What is the size of SSD for m11x? 1.8" or 2.5"? So I can pretty much buy any SSD of the right size and swap the HDD out? Hmm, I would like one of around 250GB (same size as the Dell SSD).

i thought the different is not noticeable till you benchmark it, like comparing i7-740QM and i7-840QM in real life?
