Guys need your advice.

I've got the DIR615, the Mikrotik RB250GS and a TL-WR941ND.

Obviously, i will use the TL-WR941ND as my router.

But should i use the DIR615 or the RB250GS to act as my VLAN?

I suppose i could use the DIR615 first until it burns out and keep the RM250GS as a backup, but i really the best setup from the beginning.

Basically, a comparison between the DIR615 and the RB250GS as a VLAN bridge -- are both equally good?

Feedback especially from those who recently got their RB250GS is most welcome.

Thanks fellas.

Well, it looks like RB250GS is doing a better job than DIR-615 in VLAN, one thing I noticed is the IPTV have no more lag when changing channel using RB250GS.

Hi all,

I'm using RB250GS with a Belkin Router, when I first set them up, it work flawlessly with no issue, switch off last night to organized the cable and when power up, BTU link all fine except there is no internet connection, tried the old D-Link also the same. Back to Belkin and all of the sudden it connect (green light).

Happened again today after power failure, it just wouldn't connect and called TM, half way touble shooting its back on, it took like more than 30 mins.

any idea why? any help will be appreciated.

If someone could disassemble the D-Link router, plug into the serial port (usually just checking the layout and chips used is enough) and check the actual hardware revision, then we will know for real if G2 would work or not.

I have all the hardware to do that.. but sadly I don't have a G2 router to play with :3 The FCC documents for the G2 rev are not out yet on their site AFAIK so no internal shots yet.

Just got my VIP5 install today.

Everything works fine. Except the IPTV.

I dont have a TV set. So I could not hook up the tv to the STB.
So I got myself a HDMI-DVI Cable. When powering up the STB, I can see the HyppTV. Then it goes blank. A message prompt across the LCD, "Signal Out of Range". I know this is due to the resolution. I've already tried to change the LCD resolution but same thing.

The LCD i having is 19" wide screen. Max resolution is 1366x768.
Is it possible to change the STB resolution?

Shit, the reason apply this unifi cause want to use lcd watch iptv. lol
because no tv in the house.

help pls. or any suggesstion. TQ

just got my VIP 20 installed 2 days ago, I like the speed and am satisfied most of the time. but for some reason, it is not stable, jumps from 10 mpbs to 18 mpps and then to 16. is it the same for you guys? do you experience unstable speedtest results?
