Hi any Titanium Backup user here?

Im using Donate version, just a simple question here.

Do i have to reinstall every app (as i understand it only backup my app settings not the app itself).
*
I am using paid version too
you can select to restore fully or partially. All apps will be
restore inclusive of your data and settings
please refer post 205 this thread on some my comments

Go to batch you can see a large variety of options how you can save and restore

We have good local support for titanium backup at http://forum.legendroid.com/index.php . pop over there to raise any queries the developer himself will reply all your queries

Free version will backup everything as it is.
But during restoring part, you may need to press install on each of the app that you restore back. Quite a hassle if you have 100+ apps.

Paid(Donate) version will restore/install everything without the need to click install on each of the apps.

I'm using the paid version. Much-much more easier. smile.gif

Been using the HTC Sense live wallpaper for quite a while... Really like the colorfulness of it... laugh.gif
Battery consumption is quite ok... Standby is around 6ma to 10ma, or roughly 1% an hour... smile.gif

I facing 1 problem currently. my phone get stuck at black screen (idle or standby mode). The home screen can not appear after i press any button. (hang at black screen). I need to reset then will start reboot.
I use a new SD card and formatted using the format tool suggested from benny before upload with Android... any body facing this problem before, is this because of the SD card or other else.

ok.. this time i really have a problem.. lol.. all android builds on HD2 should have its app installed on SD card right. In other words, the SD card should be the OS's main memory. Am I right?

using FroyoStone Sense now, amazingly, after I did titanium backup restore, it shows (storage low). and the restore did not finish completely, i tried several times to restore (had 181 app+system, and 140 was left out un-restored)

how can this be? im a bit confused. lol. i have 6GB+ free space on my phone. Do i need to tweak or adjust anything on my build? thx..

The genius people in XDA ported Win Phone 7 into HD2 with their NAND bootloader. Just finish watching the video.

Wow, we will get Win7 too. That's just awesome.

Read post 221 here to fix dialing issue

When you install android on phone, a hidden partition is created where your data is stored. The size depending on the rom cooks varies from 512 Mb to 2 GB. Some roms allow you to change this by just simply editing the startup.txt file. Check your rom version and read again the rom details whether you can do such.

Probably the hidden partition size is insufficient. I have most 30 apps only.

If your rom do not allow you to increase your best choice is to change to a rom that sets at least 1 gb or allow you to change the partition size

@benny thanks for the info! now i know what data.img means.. LOL. froyostone has only 256mb for a fast boot. or optional 1GB if u delete the 256mb data.img.

Want to increase the data.img size yourself ( if the rom do not provide you to edit startup.txt ). Just do it yourself and you do not mind the challenge of doing so, this is the manual way to do it - from terminal , execute the commands

[HOW-TO] Increase the size of data.img for more "Device" storage: http: //forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737826

Snapshot :

--------------------------------------------(Running Linux)----------------------------------------------

Procedure:
1. UnZip Android or your present data.img file to your Home Folder. Or a folder of your liking (or even on your memory card!), just remember to cd before you do the following:
2. Open Terminal and Copy&Paste (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+Shift+V) this:
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count=XXX >> data.img
where XXX is the amount, in MB, by which data.img should be increased by.
My filesize started out as 256MB and I wanted a total of 512MB. That would mean I needed a extra 256MB, so I executed this:
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero bs=1M count=256 >> data.img
3. Run a file system check and file system resizer
Code:
e2fsck -f data.img
resize2fs data.img
e2fsck -f data.img
if prompted, press "y" for "yes"

4. Copy all of the Android files onto your SD card, put it into your phone, and run CLRCAD.exe and HARET.exe!

@benny, thx for the info. will give it a try later. now gonna rest a bit, too much backing up and restoring makes me sick.. haha.. and this is gonna take some time to understand and learn how to do it.

em..its not like bangsters right, where you can customize the data image size from the startup.txt file. its a lot easier. lol. wonder if i can do the same on my build.
