My router just can feel warm only. not really hot. Just now around 12am++ auto restart again. 

Why my ping so high one? 50ms, DL 15.09Mbps, UL 9.07Mbps

I am downloading windows 8 ISO, getting DL speed around 1.2 Mbps, is this normal ?

Internet speed and download speed is different lah my friend.

To get download speed.....
Internet speed/8=download speed
10Mbps/8=1.25Mbps

So your download speed is good.

To make things clearer, 10Mbps/8=1.25MB/s (Megabyte) and not 1.25Mb/s (Mb = Megabit)

So if his download speed was 1.2Mb/s then not a big deal. But if he actually meant 1.2MB/s then its very good.

Friday until now i face 4th times router automatic restart.

Went to Maxis pavilion today to check for coverage, the guy there used UniFi website to check

They will make sure your house have Unifi coverage or not. If got then install Maxis Home should be no problem. Maxis Home also using Unifi fiber.

This is between TM & Maxis. Doesn't matter one. Most important your area have coverage. 

dont u think that most of the posts are about not getting call and long wait of installation arrangement?..    poor service from maxis.. customer service said will get call in 48 hours.. if u cant commit to what u promised.. dont say it!..

huh! My installer told me the IPTV come with Maxis Home package. WhenIPTV launching they will arrange come to install it. When they come install the bundle have include IPTV cable. If really need charge i won't take lol.

I've been told if caught torenting, the speed will reduce to 512kbps.. You just need to close the prog, then you get your speed back..

my torrent 24 hours max at 1.0-1.2 MB/s. 

any maxis home users here can estimate the size of the hole drilled? normally how many cables will be pulled through the hole? or is it like astro beyond with only one cable?

I try ask them when they reach my home later ya.

ask them also about what channel they offer, is it astro or new kind of channel~

funny thing is that tm guy will come in van or jeep or something big, the maxis guy (in my case) came in a kapcai motorbike only. carrying the stuff. 

i see Maxis 10mbps is Unlimited ??????

Fukin Heeelll. I go maxis dealer in ss2 register on 31st may. Up till yesterday still no call from maxis to schedule installation date. Just now i call the 1800 maxis fiber no. The woman on the line say they have no record of my registration.       

I told her the name of the dealer and address and she say she will pass my "case" to a higher department who will contact the dealer to see what happened to my registration. Niamania. 2 weeks wasted.

so is it better for me to request for a public ip during installation? does it make a difference for torrent downloading?

successfully connect to maxis using custom router, lousy Thomson router only retained for VOIP use!

last time rm 110 for slomix now officially on MHF rm 118 for 10mbps, i don lose anything, u mean the rm 8 extra? for extra 600 minutes free talk time? 150 minutes free talk to my maxis principle? 200minutes free talk to china and sg or even thai? Although unifi will counter offer like rm100 for 10mbps later, not a bid deal to me.

Well, u can continue wait for the said counter by UNIFI, that time, u might skeptical that maxis will counter lagi coz u heard rumors insider news again. forever don dare to try.

my point is, migrating from slomix to MHF, i got nothing to lose as i like maxis customer service and availability of walk in during weekend compares to tm.

that's sad. my sign up and installation all done in less than 2 weeks. Somemore i get change my preset voip number to a nice nice double double double digits number for free. Maxis says 1st time change is free, subsequent will charge rm 25. So glad too hear that still got many many nice number to choose.

huh? need so long meh? i apply on this monday(11 jun 2012), come on 30 jun 2012 to install, only take 2 weeks, because i choose weekend, if not only take 1 weeks. i think you place is still not in coverage, right? they need take to install new fiber in your area, take 2 months?

is this heat issue thing common? should i install some small fan like pc cooling fan to it? it is necessary? but the plug socket really heaty. i saw 'made in china' scared will explode
