this is what i saw in the agreement trems & conditions :
3. The first 85 metres (outside your home) from the nearest Fibre Distribution Panel to the Termination Box and the first 15 metres (inside your home) from the Termination Box to the Access Termination box is free of charge. Should the length required at your premise exceed the said allocated amount, the extra charges will be borne by the customer. The free installation provided is of standard specifications (over wall with clip or cable casing only), cost for any non-standard type of installations, such as over the ceiling, underground ducts, concealed wiring and so on will be borne by the customer. (Please refer to the attached charging guidelines).

I applied online via Maxis website, follow-up with call to maxis 123 after 1Day, email& call received from maxis Home agent requesting for relevant documents and IC copy, sent back after 1day.

Waited for almost 3-4days before installation team called up (using numbers 03-23005058), given option for weekends and weekdays, hence opted for weekdays which are faster, 18June 2012, 9.30am.

Maxis Home team call up again for re-confirmation 2 times in the last 1 week to re-confirm time and day (using number 03-23000172 & 03-23000178).

All in all , I will be getting my maxis fiber in 2 weeks time, my area is Bukit OUG, hope that helps. Quite efficient I would say !!

Oh another thing I found out accidentally, you can check in the UNIFI coverage website for maxis application status..(sort-of) ! At least I know my application has gone in and waiting for installation.. try it out !!

10 mbps promotional package quota start already?

already finished the quota now 128kbps

called in to maxis today to inquire on my application status --> no record in the system. was advised to walk in to a maxis centre instead. sigh..

the customer care rep was really helpful though

am now wondering should i walk in to klcc or midvalley maxis centre? i'm assuming klcc applications get processed faster??

i just subscribed online last friday morning. this morning i called in to 1800821123 to check my status, was told that the application was not in the system, and i should walk in to register instead..

that's all. i've got a loooonggg way to to go before installation 

i wonder if your application received by maxis or misplaced by agent.

im quite amazed with the amount of "lost" case to customer who submitted earlier. i am one of the victim too. I register for my father house on 4th june at the nearest maxis dealer near my father house. i called last week they dont have my record at their sytem and will create a case to question the dealer. today i called again and they said the case no update...so i lost hope and decided to go to the official maxis center in Garden MV to do another registration for my father house. i already told the person who help me sign up today about my case and they said dont worry about it as they will stil go on with my registration today. Its been 2 weeks since i register with the dealer and they dont have my record for maxis home registration.

Also i also got register maxis home for my own house. today just got a called from Maxis about my installation and it will be August 15!! My area is bandar kinrara....oh well im not in a hurry after all so i can live with it.

What i am not happy is how come my father house registration lost....may be its best not to register with dealer and just go for the offical maxis center

My advice is walk in better. I registed online, they called me after 2 weeks and told me they will email me the form to fill up and request me to send them a copy of my IC.

I told them i registered online and there is no feedback after 2 day, so i decided to walk in to maxis center and registered. They have also called me and provided me the installation date after 1 week.

Maxis online is very slow......

the best is register at maxis center or online through their website.
seems like many lost case when register through 3rd party agent.

ok, so after lunchtime, off i went to maxis centre klcc to register, again.. it was pretty straightforward, everything was done in 10 minutes or so, and the guy told me the technicians will be in touch with me in about a week's time...

while i was driving out of klcc, suddenly got a call from 03 23005050. "wow cepatnye! takkan nak install dah?" haha.. turned out the call was from another sales rep, pertaining to my earlier online registration last friday (which didn't show up in the system this morning), so i thanked him and told him i had walked in anyway..

so to be fair to them in my case, their response time isn't that bad at all...

btw, the guy that i registered with at klcc told me that TODAY is the LAST DAY of the rm118 promotion? anybody can confirm this? sounds like bs though...

Just installed. Installation took about 2 hours. Everything went smoothly.

My house is currently using unifi.
I went to apply for maxis fiber today. And they could not find my address under coverage. I received a call from Maxis just now saying my address is not under coverage so have to cancel my application (
If not under coverage how come I'm using Unifi?

mine 2 storey house.
i connect with another d-link wireless router on access point mode for upstairs.
the thomson router downstairs.
everything working fine.

Set as bridge mode, LAN ip same range with your router, disable DHCP

Why want disable thompson router? 

maxis installer is really funny. he didnt even know that maxis got promotion for 10Mbps.While waiting the TM technician come, he call a maxis center and ask for the package and gave his address to check either his house covered or not..

it always same brand.. perhaps if anyone successfully configure 3rd party router for maxis. likewise tm unifi there are variable choices.

just share it for others in need.. practically must work lar..
