Public IP & Private IP. Which one better & why?

I handed in my registration on 6 of jun and still waiting for Maxis to call me.
When I submit my form, the agent check the coverage on Unifi website and tell me my area is not covered. Since my neighbours already using Unifi, i tell him also. so he submitted my form.

will this problem slow down the progress of my application?

anywhere hope can fully control it. Installation take about 3-4 hours because of the phone line control room there have a little problem after change the cable speed become got 9MB++. Install very fast one. Just need to do setting & Maxis installer need make sure the speed you get 9MB++. Maxis installer come 1 person then TM come 4 person.

I think I need Public IP. I never knew that there's such thing of Public or Private IP.. I just want NORMAL IP..
I'll be administrating websites, but wouldn't be a problem since I use web hosting..
But I'll be making my own minecraft servers, etc
so I hope I can get public IP since u guys mentioned private ips are different and that public ips are the normal ones..
Can I request a public ip during installation? like ask the technician?
or must i call maxis customer service to register me a public ip or something??
just want the normal IP!!xD

Bloody hell. The maxis and tm guy arrive already. They said my one need hacking which might costs 300 bucks?! Because the say my telephone box thingy blocked already.

after 2 year from today, maybe unifi got offer rm150 for 30mbps, who know? things just getting better and better.

btw, my installation took me 4 hours for a apartment connection, 1 maxis 1 tm staff. most time spend in the riser room. my house set up oni 1/2 hours.
