After reading the thread not really understand to get it done, thus decided to do it via I tune. That is the disadvantage to use this kinda complicated phone for computer noob like me.  shakehead.gif

1) Download the firmware in the tread provided above,
2) Put your iPhone into DFU mode refer to http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=36638655
3) Your iPhone will prompt out "recovery mode, please restore blah blah blah blah", click ok,
4) holding alt and left click to the button "restore" and select the firmware you downloaded from step (1).

I think this guide is clear enough, follow these few steps and you will be fine. Also please make sure you upgraded your iTunes to latest v ones.

I have a more simple method biggrin.gif

1. Download the ipsw file, refer from this site (http://www.ismashphone.com/2010/09/ios41-d...load-links.html) for the links
2. In your iTunes's iPhone page, press the left shift button + click on the "Restore" Button. A file selection screen pop-up will appear.
3. Select the .ipsw file that you download and wait for it to finish biggrin.gif

I wanna know how do you guys test out iphone4 speaker. I found out only one speaker at the bottom which is working. The right side speaker volume is loud if you put your finger below. The left side I can't feel anything. How do I know my speaker is working a not?

facetime by default is only available to use under wifi. so does it charge ur calltime usage?
there is App in iTunes named "tango" which enable u to use 3G to facetime if u r out of wifi coverage

Please read the manual that comes with the iPhone. It's given to you for a reason and for you to understand the functions of the phone.

I hope this helps (the picture will do the talking): https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1548732/+1

Please read this as well: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/868281 and download the iPhone IOS4 User Guide as well.

For new users, PLEASE READ: http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html

@string, geo and yez

Doesn't this make your day when we see such question comes up again n again n again. Let's talk about this in the gathering..hahahhaha.

Ppl are just ignorant and don't bother reading the iPhone tech page on Apple website (since July 2010), the manual and they just...just ..just amaze me. Why buy such expensive gadget and don't read the manual.. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

New iPhone users are setting new records..ahhahahha.

You might try holding down the power and home buttons at the same time. Wait until you see the silver apple. Thats what I did when mine wouldn't turn back on.

If you are using a third-party iPhone case, make sure it is not covering the microphone or top microphone (iPhone 4 only). Try making some calls without the case to see if a caller can now hear you more clearly.
If you have left the display's clear protective plastic film in which iPhone shipped, either ensure the plastic film does not cover the microphone, or remove the film all together. Hope this helps

bro, this happened when u have overcharged your ip4, try to do the proposed step slowly, don't panick, if this fails u may consider the following step.... try to restore it. Sorry but you'll lose all of your pictures.
There may be time to get it into recovery mode. If you want to do that, turn the phone off, hold the home button and continue to hold it while you plug in your USB cord (don't let go of the home button yet!) and after so long, it should show the "connect to iTunes" screen. And then it should show in iTunes. Then just restore it.

There isn't a way to get it back on without restoring it.

Hi,

Under my iPhone4, General > Settings > Usage, it unable to show the "Usage" and "Standby" time after I full charged yesterday.
It shows as "-" instead number of hours.

Did anyone encounter this before ?
Thanks.

Regards.
