Yes, i have this problem also when i off the data if i didn't used it, after i turn on again eventhough showing '3G' but when surf internet it shown that message, i have to on/off again or restart the phone.

Lately maxis 3G seem having probl....got 3G but can't surf seem their line is congested ... Even thier signal also not very stable

i'm using iphone 4 with maxis plan, about 1 month already. i have install quite number of apps on my iphone4. the problem now is whenever i use my camera (only noticed this prob when using camera apps since i use camera many times, sometimes with games apps) quite long, snap, then open album, lets say if not satisfied with the pic i will delete and snap again, then when i tap lets say camera icon again or any other icon, the apps will open for a while then return back to home screen. i re-tap again the same thing happen. i press sleep button then wake, the lock screen image is somehow broken (not the screen broken) i open apps again same thing happen. the prob only resolve when i restart the iphone.

anyone has the same problem? what could it be due to?

i have kill apps that run in the background, restart, try reboot, and even reflash the firmware..but prob not totally gone, but at least slightly better (what i mean by better is before this my iphone slowly respond to button press, even hang when i try to restart, the phone just can not off until i reboot as suggested by one of the forumer here)

same here. mine shows the "FAVORITES" screen.

I've used iPhone 4 Maxis plan for 3 weeks. I found that whenever i charge my iPhone, the "MY MAXIS" on top will become "NO SERVICE".

No matter how many time i restart the phone, it's still the same. But when I unplug the charging cable and restart the phone, it goes normal.

Anyone facing the same problem? Hope to get some useful solution here. Thanks guys

P/S: The phone is not jailbroken.

i got that a lot too, what i do is turn on airplane mode then turn it off again. it will turn off your antenna and turn it on again, and reconnect to the telco network

I found this when i typed in iPhone Apps password protection via google. Not sure if this is what you want yo.

I've tried it, but the problem's still not solved though...

Then I turned off the phone, turned it back on and put it on airplane mode and then turned it off...it's still the same. >.< But I've noticed that the signal for 3G seems to be a bit unstable? The signal seems to decrease to one miserable bar..

how long do u wait until u turn off airplane mode again? normally i switch to airplane mode for around 5-10 seconds, then only turn back to normal mode again, it will then take another 5-10 seconds to search for signal geh
sometimes is just your signal is too weak to establish any data connection...

This only happenned Maxis subscribers? Never happen on my DiGi plan though.

my area the digi signal is not that consistent, flat house area, so when i am indoor sometimes the connection is unstable i will encounter that also

Around 5-10 seconds too...I see, I see...but even if I don't turn on 3G, there's still EDGE right? And EDGE doesn't seem to work either, though the signal for it is strong.

I think I'll just wait and see what happens...or wait til I get to somewhere with a strong signal and try again.
