I was wondering...sometimes I get a notice (okay a few times already) that my SIM sent out a message? I have no idea what this is, but I wasn't texting anyone at that moment.
So, can anyone kindly explain what that's about? Thanks |

Was wondering if anyone has this pop up on their phone..."Your sim has sent a text message".
What is that? And will that cost me anything? I'm using Maxis btw...it'd be great if anyone can help at all! |

QUOTE(yezhacolic @ Sep 29 2010, 08:52 PM) Based on my experience, it pops up frequently just for few minutes you insert on sim card; sometimes it does not pop up at all. In short, no harm, just click the green tab and back to normal screen. Ohhh okay...I was afraid that it charged me for SMSes or something. Thanks so much for clearing that up!! |

Super noob question, but is there any way to hide the keyboard after your text message has been sent? I've tried swiping it down, tapping etc...but it doesn't hide itself...

Hi all...was wondering if any of you guys here can help.
I'm on Maxis btw, using an iPhone 4...and I've been experiencing 'Cellular data network could not be activated' errors since noon...the 3G/Edge logo are there though and there's an average of 2-3 bars but I can't seem to surf or do anything. What could be problem? Sorry for the extremely noob question >.< Thanks in advance... |

QUOTE(yezhacolic @ Nov 17 2010, 08:42 PM) Try reset network settings, see whether its working or not. I've tried it, but the problem's still not solved though...Settings > General > Reset > Reset network setting QUOTE(llk @ Nov 17 2010, 09:28 PM) Yes, i have this problem also when i off the data if i didn't used it, after i turn on again eventhough showing '3G' but when surf internet it shown that message, i have to on/off again or restart the phone. Sometimes that works for me, for this time it doesn't seem to work. I have no idea why... QUOTE(BBXiong @ Nov 18 2010, 09:49 AM) i got that a lot too, what i do is turn on airplane mode then turn it off again. it will turn off your antenna and turn it on again, and reconnect to the telco network Thanks for the suggestion...tried it but doesn't seem to solve the problem. Then I turned off the phone, turned it back on and put it on airplane mode and then turned it off...it's still the same. >.< But I've noticed that the signal for 3G seems to be a bit unstable? The signal seems to decrease to one miserable bar.. |

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Nov 18 2010, 11:41 AM) how long do u wait until u turn off airplane mode again? normally i switch to airplane mode for around 5-10 seconds, then only turn back to normal mode again, it will then take another 5-10 seconds to search for signal geh Around 5-10 seconds too...I see, I see...but even if I don't turn on 3G, there's still EDGE right? And EDGE doesn't seem to work either, though the signal for it is strong. sometimes is just your signal is too weak to establish any data connection... I think I'll just wait and see what happens...or wait til I get to somewhere with a strong signal and try again. |
