i recently found out that i cant play facebook videos..dunno why suddenly like that geh. Previously i remember can play without problem, right now when i click on facebook videos, i will have a pop up message like this:

"Alert
Sorry, this video cannot be played because it is in a format that this device does not support"

anyway encounter this before and is there any solution to this?

btw mine is j@ilbr0ken one..suspect main cause

i have tried updating to latest, i have also tried deleting the facebook app, reboot the device, install facebook and reboot again to ensure that it's totally ok...hit same issue also

btw, just wanna ask another question, if i right click -> backup, i will be backing up everything including contacts, sms and configurations for the phone? so after installing new firmware i just need to restore from backup to get back my stuffs?

actually mine used to be able to play, dead serious, and dunno what happen suddenly it cannot played anymore....since bro makaveli mention that jailbreaking is not the culprit behind it, then maybe it's some system bug that prevented me from viewing it again..really sad that the facebook app is that buggy after all..and we still cant "Like" comments

care to explain more?

i don mean those status and all, i mean the comments, u know the facebook full page ppl can like what you commented on status/photo, iOS cant do that right now, need to go to the website to do that

Added on November 16, 2010, 3:46 pmcos on youtube app, if you are on 3G, u see blur video, if you are on Wifi, you are viewing in HD, which normally our internet is too slow to handle, and i recall someone told me before that if you go youtube page on safari you can choose the quality that you want to view, pretty cool if u ask me, and i do think we need to have that option in our youtube app as well...

plus, i don think he meant that too, i think what he mean is lile LYN for instance, when we click on a youtube video, it will automatically play the youtube video from safari, and his issue is what i have faced on my facebook app, the Alert thing, whenever he wants to play a youtube video from safari browser

no, it's not cannot comment on status...is cannot "Like" the comments on status/pictures..now facebook u can like one specific comment geh...but iOS Facebook app havent put in that function yet


i am not talking about transmit signal lar, is the default youtube app will limit to give u the lowest quality video when u watch it with 3G connection, but on Wifi, it will choose 720p as default, if the video don have 720p then it will choose high quality. What i heard from a friend is that Youtube on Safari can allow u to choose exactly which quality you want. To answer the last question, it plays on Safari, when i click on "Done", it will return to the page where i clicked on the youtube video, not the video details of the youtube app

i got that a lot too, what i do is turn on airplane mode then turn it off again. it will turn off your antenna and turn it on again, and reconnect to the telco network

how long do u wait until u turn off airplane mode again? normally i switch to airplane mode for around 5-10 seconds, then only turn back to normal mode again, it will then take another 5-10 seconds to search for signal geh
sometimes is just your signal is too weak to establish any data connection...

my area the digi signal is not that consistent, flat house area, so when i am indoor sometimes the connection is unstable i will encounter that also

i think ur case would be, signal kinda too weak, kick back to EDGE, then signal burst, try to connect back to 3G, connect fail, back to EDGE, until connection time out, then the message...
