Bro, OC = heat is only applicable if you do not undervolt. All N900 OCing includes undervolting, and as such generates less heat then you'd think. Some profiles in Titan's kernel run 900mhz with lower voltages than the factory stock 600mhz = not much diff in generated heat.

IINM anyway. Also, a slight overclock means that tasks are completed faster = you can go back to idle faster. That is the general concept behind the "overclock saves battery" movement. But even so, all this HAS NOT BEEN EMPIRICALLY TESTED, so nobody knows for sure.

Heck, OCing CAN even be dangerous to your eMMC by starving and killing it through undervolting (like I PROBABLY did) BUT nobody knows for sure. We need more dead N900s to make that assumption.

I know jananan at least hacks his N900 almost as much as I do (maybe even more) but his device is still not dead lol.

Jananan did as much as hacking as you did but I don't think he OC's under starving profile. If I remember correctly he mentioned that he didn't OC these past month because of dependency clash of fcam & titans kernel.
Main difference between you and jananan is you did open heart surgery on you phone doh.gif

Been using nitdroid(older 0.0.6 btw).Performance so far been very encouraging but I didn't OC much because as someone said last time nitdroid still doesn't support proper cpu scaling.I heard that v 0.0.7 has lots of performance & feature additions.I'll try this version tomorrow probably.

p/s : Special credit for my sister for donating her Nokia 7610 for me while I experiment on my phone biggrin.gif

Looking good, but still no where near Maemo for me. Sill look Android-ish.
Guess will see how it turns out in the end, the OS features, open-ness, and supports for videos, cameras, etc.
