anyone experience when sliding the QWERTY keyboard the light did not turn on?
does it related to software or hardware problem?
if send to warranty does it cover? Comsat company?

use GSM mode
Reduce screen brightness
Turn of bluetooth

I hope you should be specify what you do before such event occured? Did u install any software? Why not try reformat your phone to factory setting and see whether it works or not?

Some forumer said to remove the battery and plug it back then turn on might sometimes solve this problem

after i format the phone, using clear device.
then the keyboard light does not turn on?
then it should be software problem?
any other ways to rectify it?

For your info all latest nokia phones have a light sensor. If you use your phone on bright area the keyboard light wont turn on. Try go to a room totally dark and try again its for energy saving purposes.

a few calls.
Used wifi switcher
Sms n call like 2hrs total
Switched to 2g

Went to ncc last wk n switched the batt still same prob

i cant open my virtual keyboard and i press 'fn' 'sym', ntg comes out.. :C

yes. that will disable the virtual keyboard. some forumers claimed.

Today i went to one utama, and went in the nokia centre just to look around, i realize there are quite a number of people ask for n900 o.o saw the sales man take out the n900 box and show to the customers.
