-this highly depends on if the HID is fitted properly or not. Because usually HID have a small reflector fitted just right above the HID bulb (barely noticeable) then the light emitting will be controlled and focused rather than those f***ing idiots having it fitted but didnt fit the reflector for it causing much discomfort to other drivers coming from the other side..... f*** you man whoever you are. hope u crash. If havent gone through ur 1k service.. perhaps u shouldnt rev too high ..... let the engine run in first ...
but oh ya.... do u guys know ..... for the 1st 1k.. proton give waranty for alignment and balancing as well as aircon
if ... alignment is out or balancing is out..... or aircon is not cold .... proton servicecenter will diagnose and if confirm.. they will fix it for u... reminder must be under 1k only
well this is not unique to proton... most car manufacturers (in malaysia....)provide this service....

so if i wanna rev before 1st service?.. max how many km/h ?

well, I tested one night and less than 12hours..
on my way to cyber.. most car from opposite side put high beam on me..
so today morning I drove back to accessories shop and change the HID from headlight to spotlight..
this time the HID just nice... no people put high beam on me
It wont blinding the person in front as well.. tested my self in other car

i think is abit high.... i think some people discuss about it in previous thread.. try looking for it.... if memory is right...should keep it well below 4k or 3.5k rpm
hehe i personally.... try to keep it around 3k at most (anyway....fyi driving 2.5k rpm and 3.5k rpm....there is huge significance in fuel consumption... )

The manual book recommends not to drive over 135km/h before 1k run-in period

Its best to let it run in for the first 1k before rev it or speed that way in the long term no much problem from the car

Added on October 25, 2010, 9:19 amyup agree.....the engine is still new ....still too "rough" ... it is said .. might introduce more .... wear on the engine if rev the engine high before...it is runned in (some car manufacturers dont need to.... but since proton also suggest to.... we should follow ... )

the entire file is too huge, it's around 3GB, you all arrange a TT then we can copy paste into ur memory card on the spot and test haha
