Tianqi is right. But do note that's they're closed on certain days. I forgot which. My collection hours were hand-written on my receipt by the biometrics lady and I threw it away already =/

Hey I have a question here:

Did the visa application officer ask you all to show your financial affidavit? Apparently some people don't have to do so and my friend say we can apply for visa/ set up a interview time first before getting the financial guarantee from our sponsors.
*
hey!
have you applied your visa?
can i apply for the visa before getting financial guarantee from my sponsor and without showing financial affidavit?
since we're consider a low risk country.

Thanks! biggrin.gif

The three most important documents for you are your passport, TB examination results and your FA.

So no, you gotta get your FA before applying.

My visa is awaiting to be dispatched smile.gif You should submit your FA and even a photocopy will do - I was asked if I wanna keep my original - so I guess u better urge ur sponsor to at least email u a FA.

From my experience , you do not need financial evidence in a way because they dint ask from me.I also asked them and they said it's not a required document because we are low priority.however ,it did state that we should posses the evidence in case they required it.If u have to wait very long for your financial evidence ,I say u should just go for the appointment and worst case scenario is they ask for your financial evidence ,u just set another appointment date with your financial evidence

Hi guys,

Just to clarify something here. I've seen people saying that UK is quite strict on copyrights.

Example: If you're using Pirated Microsoft products, printing shop will most like to reject the printing job. Is it true?

Hi catto,

I noticed the form indicates self-assessment on the top right hand corner, I guess it is just to give you a flavour of what to expect. Anyway, I did mine online and have gotten it  rclxm9.gif

Anyone heading to Edinburgh? blush.gif

hey, any students here taking emirates?

My friend who booked thru a travel agent told me there's an additional baggage allowance of 10kg but somehow when i contacted the KL office, they told me that there isn't one.

I have already booked mine, which was through their website, and i'm hoping to get this allowance as well, just in case, cause overweight baggage is freaking expensive lol.

thanks in advance smile.gif

If your saying allowance as in if your baggage over 10 kg than the requirement they wont charge,i highly doubt that they will give so much allowance .If youre saying pay for extra baggage space, then i think emirates do not have that service for normal travelers unless you are a regular and have one of their memberships cards.Your friend who booking thru travel agent, is he getting the 30kg +10 kg allowance?Because sometimes the prices through travel agents are cheaper are due to cuts in services.

I had two jabs (meningitis and influenza) at Klinik Catarell Khoo near KL Sentral during my health check. Both the jabs and the health check aren't compulsory though.

1. Am I allowed to bring 500GBP cash on board the plane?

2. Is it better to get a traveller's cheque or a bank draft to be banked in to the UK bank account?

3. Do I have to declare to customs if I bring a traveller's cheque or bank draft of like 4kGBP on board the plane?
